Original oil on panel by Jacques Koslowsky (Lithuanian, American, lived in Paris and Mallorca, 1904-1993) of a standing female nude, circa 1950-1960. Signed l.r. 24" by 12" painting alone, 28" by 16" in its frame. Koslowsky studied art in Florence and Paris. An example of the splendid and appealing naive, folk art painting style of early California artist A. CEDRO, featuring a mountain lake surrounded by trees, distant snow-capped mountains, several small figures in boats completing the scene. Measurements are 22 1/2" by 35" (27" by 40" framed). The artist, A. CEDRO, is a vague figure known to have had a Russian background. He painted in Southern Oregon and extreme Northern California at the end of the 19th century...

Oil on canvas painting of a mill adjacent to a pond, 28" by 22", (33 1/2" by 27 1/4" framed) possibly signed at lower right, but affixed on reverse is an old handwritten slip of paper, with name of artist, subject identification ("Red House, Milltown"), her addresses, and 1924 Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts 119th annual exhibition info, apparently item #95 in that exhibition. The artist is identified thereon as IRENA FRANKEBERGER...

A large oil on canvas by Henry Charles Lee (American, 1864-1930) titled on the stretcher, “Winter Landscape” and signed lower left “Henry C. Lee.” He lived in Cornwall New York and in France, where he died. The stretcher had an old label for a French artist supplies dealer Lucien LeFevre-Foinet with the number 7350.

Under a partly cloudy but blue sky the sun casts the shadows of bare trees on the slope in the foreground while the hills and cloudy sky show beyond...

A beautiful circa 1920 impressionist painting of tall pines or cedars in a sun-dappled forest landscape which includes two groups of small figures at center left. The unframed work measures 30" by 24" and is apparently unsigned. Judging from the canvas and stretcher, this is likely the work of a listed American artist. It has been suggested that it was cut down at some point, as the painting extends over the tacking edge...
