Oil on canvasboard, 12" by 16" (17" by 21" as framed), signed at lower right by artist CURT PAULSON. I do not see a listing but the artist had a skilled hand. The style reminds a bit of California desert painters William Darling or Fred Chisnall. There is impasto, vigorous brush stroke, and a grayish blue light over the scene. Apparently original whitish antiqued frame completes this ready for the wall package. Condition is excellent.

This is a most unusual and appealing pop art painting (unframed, 27" by 35") by a mid-coast California artist, Tom Shultz (1943-2017). Works by the artist, who passed away in his mid seventies, have been exhibited at a number of galleries, particularly in the Paso Robles area of central California. The piece is entirely hand painted (not silkscreened, which I at first thought a possibility) on a spongy, soft pulpboard, which the artist has also painted on the reverse (an abstract)...

I don't see a listing for the name so offer the painting as a decorative mid century item. It is quite a colorful and dramatic work and will beautifully complement your Eames Era modern decor. I think there's a little bit of Stuart Davis color and imagery in this. Note how the paint is raised in the hard-edge striping. The painting is a little dusty...

A striking, Mid Century, seventies oil on canvas abstract painting executed in a denim-like blue, the unusual and complex almost three dimensional-appearing pattern arising out of that base, 30" by 40", unframed, signed lower right "Karl McIntosh". McIntosh (1940-2009) was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and passed away in Ogden, Utah, after a long career in fine art. A whimsical, colorful painting of a cat, signed at lower right with initials "C.L" and dated there 1980. The work is on canvas, 21" by 25 1/4" framed. The unknown artist was certainly talented. Further research could possibly determine his/her identity. The painting is in very good vintage condition. There is a bit of light soiling here and there but no punctures or other issues.

The work measures 16" by 20" and is housed in a nice quality frame, measuring 23" by 27". Painting and frame are both in excellent condition. Bragg of course was a well-known, prolific artist best known via his hilarious prints. He was a commentator on the human condition, human frailties, and 20th century life...

Oil on canvasboard panel painting of a scene in the French Quarter of New Orleans, 19" by 8" (24 1/4" by 12 1/2" framed), signed at lower right with what appears as "Dettick" or "Derrick". This work was likely created for the lively tourist scene in the French Quarter in the 1960's or early 1970's. It has been suggested that the artist is one "Dick Nick", who has been an active participant in the New Orleans Jackson Square art scene from the 1960's. Condition is excellent.

A small unframed oil on Masonite painting, 8" by 10", signed at lower left indecipherably, the work a fantasy landscape painted very much in the style of acclaimed California artist Eyvind Earle (1916-2000). The neon green sunlit strip, the surreal shadows cast by rocks there, the bare tree, the hillside, all are reminiscent of Earle's work. A silvery frame might work on this. Surface is a bit dusty, and heavily varnished. There are some very light drips of something at right center.

A large oil on canvas, 36" by 24" (44" by 32" framed), the subject a number of circus clowns, skillfully painted, signed at lower right by noted American clown artist ROBERT OWEN (1930-). Owen was born in Polk County, Missouri. For many years he has been recognized as a master at painting clowns. Reproduction prints have been made from many paintings. This example is in excellent condition. Note also the interesting framing.

Found in Maine, is this oil on canvas painting, 24" by 20 1/2" in its silver metal frame, signed at extreme lower right "Judith Nelson Harper" and titled on the reverse "Red, White and Blue". It is a striking work, though I see minimal information on the artist---I believe just one minor bit of information shows up on a net search. Regardless, this will please anyone looking to brighten up a modern interior with original art from the 1970's. The condition is somewhat less than optimal...........
