Watercolor on paper painting 19" by 24" (27" by 34" frame in which found is available at no extra cost), the subject northeastern-style clapboard homes in late autumn season, signed at lower right by artist BEN ROSEN. The painting projects a certain naive charm as a bird's eye view has the viewer contemplating the scene from a unique perspective. This is a very early watercolor, 9 1/2" by 5 3/4" framed, in the style of the early 19th century, titled at bottom "Double Rose", by an anonymous artist lost to time. His or her handiwork has survived likely 150 years or more but has lost a little color from fading, and the paper has browned. These are not faults---rather, they give the drawing age and character...

Watercolor with touches of gouache painting, on heavy grade watercolor paper, the subject a small ranch on a coastline, 18" by 29" (26" by 39" framed), unsigned, the subject I feel possibly in Hawaii or Australia, given the scenery and the obvious tropical touch (the plantation-shutters and banana trees, and the detail of the front of the structure). Unfortunately I have not been able to locate a signature anywhere...
