This is a circa mid 20th century still life lithograph of a pineapple, pomegranate and other fruit, signed in brown ink at lower right and numbered 41/90 at lower left by noted School of Paris artist ROGER CHAPELAIN-MIDY (1904-1992). The artist's works bring into the five figures at auction in the US and Europe, and the still life is his specialty. This print measures 12 5/8" by 9 3/4" (20 5/8" by 17 3/4" as framed)...

Woodblock "Calme.'truck' " by Paul Jacoulet 1941, showing two Polynesian lovers in a scenic outdoors setting. Signed in pencil "Paul Jacoulet" with a red butterfly seal with title and date. Jacoulet was born in France in 1902 but lived his entire life in Japan studying and mastering woodblock technique producing 166 masterpieces.

An example of the 1957 poster of a seated nude, titled "Andre Derain Dessins", by Galerie Maeght. The lithograph is framed in a silver metal frame with orange backdrop. Measurements are 25 3/4" by 18 3/4" (30 1/2" by 24 1/4" as framed). Derain was a major French artist in the first half of the twentieth century, renowned early on for his Fauvist works and later for a wealth of works, both drawings and paintings, many of which depicted the female nude. WILL BE SHIPPED WITHOUT GLASS.

Etching on paper, 16 1/4" by 14 1/4", with narrow metal framing, pencil signed at lower right by artist, who, if I read correctly the Russian on the reverse, is one VLADIMIR KOSTROMIN. An old original label on reverse has a 1978 date, so I would imagine the print dates to the late 1970's. The ink is a greenish black. Moisture has compromised the margins and mold stained and rippled them; reframing would help exclude that...

Pencil signed, numbered limited edition print, 18" by 21 1/2" inside the mat, (25" by 28 3/4" as framed), titled "Pareja con Kiva" ("Couple with Kiva") by noted Arizona-based artist AMADO MAURILLO PENA. Pena is known for his Southwestern genre themes, dealing with the Native American and the land upon which he lives. See the web for much more information. This print is numbered at lower left 22/65, and is signed at lower right (a blindstamp appears there as well)...

Etching on paper, 8" by 7 3/4" inside the mat (16 1/4" by 13 1/2" as framed), the subject an antiques shop in an urban setting, pencil signed at lower right by the well listed and accomplished American artist EARL HORTER (1881-1940). I believe the title of this might well be "Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe"...

This is an unusual medium for the artist, best known for his highly finished and detailed oil paintings of orientalist subjects. These oils regularly bring hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction. This etching is all original, including the old soiled mat, and so forth...

Aquatint on paper 20" by 14" (32" by 24 1/2" in tasteful framing, with quality materials), signed in pencil at lower right corner within the image, the subject a lady intensely examining a print from a bulging portfolio in a studio, other works visible in other portfolios and hanging on the wall. Title I believe is "Dans l'Atelier". The colors are somber and elegant. Robbe was a major French printmaker late in the 19th and early in the 20th century...

By the well-listed American artist JOSEPH MARGULIES (1896-1984) is this etching and aquatint print officially titled "Forever at Study", featuring two orthodox Jewish men studying the Holy Books. This is a work by highly regarded American artist THOMAS WILLOUGHBY NASON (1889-1971). Nason was a Boston-born artist who by the late 1920's had taught himself the fine art of creating prints in the wood engraving process.
