“Venetian Canal” Oil on Canvas, 10.6”x 13.8” unframed Antoine Bouvard Senior was born at St. Jean-de-Bournay in L'Isere in 1870. He trained as an architect and studied art and architecture under Constant-Dufeus at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He became the Director of Architectural Services for the Seine, and was responsible for the construction of the Bourse du Travail and the Boulevard Morland in Paris...

Oil on canvas, 20" by 16" and simple wood frame 1 3/4" wide, signed at lower left in capital letters by the artist, ARTHUR CARL WEIGLE, and dated there "30". This is a charming scene of an earlier California, the iconic subject being the 18th century Mission Santa Barbara. Note the figure curled up on the steps, the leaning palm, and the beautifully painted eucalyptus leaves. The overall light palette reminds one of C. W. Nicholson's works or possibly Dana Bartlett...

An old watercolor painting of the famous Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany, unsigned, circa 1940. The piece measures 9 1/4" by 7 1/2" inside the double mat and 14 1/4" by 11 1/2" as framed. The frame is modern and functional. Note the detail, including tiny figures and old cars and even double-decker buses. The gate, which dates to the 1730's, was severely damaged in World War II. I believe the artist may have created this during the war or just before it...

Original ceramic sculpture by Tina Rabner (American, New York, 1913-1994). This work depicts two young girls at play. It measures approximately 14" by 12" by 6". In overall excellent condition. Matte finish with polychrome highlights. Signed (incised signature on the base) "Tina Rabner". Circa 1945. Tina Rabner was an entrant in the Robineau Memorial/National Ceramic Exhibitions in Syracuse in 1940, 1946, and 1948 (cf. Art Pottery of the United States by Paul Evans, p.428)...

Circular watercolor painting of grapes, tendrils and leaves on the vine, 26" diameter as framed in circular frame. The painting likely dates to the early part of the 20th century. I do not see a signature. Condition of the watercolor is excellent, though the frame has significant cracks at bottom as shown. Hang this near your wine storage cave.

A vintage watercolor painting of a Southwest style interior, with large barred window allowing light into a spar room with rocker, small shelf with objects, and plants. It is a simple composition but nicely painted by a talented hand. The work is signed at lower right but I am unable to make out the signature. The work measures 8 1/2" by 11 3/4" (13 1/2" by 17" in simple frame). The paper is toned with age and the frame has a little wear.

Meierhans, b. - 1890 in Switzerland, came to the United States in 1917, eventually settling in Bucks County. He studied under A.N.Lindenmuth and J. Sloan. He was a member of the S.Indp.Artists, ASL, Provincetown A.A. and the American Abstract Artists.

Vintage watercolor painting of the famous miniature drawbridge in the far western part of the island (Somerset Parish), actually signed twice at lower right "Worcester" or (less likely) "Norcester", and dated "42". I am so far unable to connect this to a known, listed artist working in the islands. The work measures 12" by 16" as framed. Note the typical, quaint old whitewashed stone Bermuda house at left and the white roofs and shutters...

William Corasick, b. 1907, studied at Temple University and at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance, and exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, National Academy of Design, and the Butler Art Institute. This unique and exciting abstract is painted on paper and clear film. In very good original condition and professionally framed. Image measurements are app. 20" x 20".

Etching (5 5/8" by 7 1/2", 13 1/2" by 15" in pleasing old gold framing), titled on reverse label "Fishermen's Houses Saint Tropez", (French Riviera), pencil signed in the margin by listed California artist REGINALD WILMER VAUGHAN (1870-1958). The etching likely dates to about the 1930's or 1940's, I believe. Vaughan was born in Boston of blue blood stock (relatives were with George Washington at Valley Forge)...
