This iconic, rare black lacquer Elsa Peretti buckle was done early in her career as a jewelry designer. We're not sure if it was done for Tiffany & Co, or earlier when she was designing jewelry for Halston. This Maya purse looks like elegant and lavish icing on a cake! Beautifully carved butterflies, flowers and leaves in iridescent pastel tones of pink, light blue and light green enhance the surface of the front. The back is flat and hangs nicely against the body.
