A charming purse design by Maya. Made of tree resin, it looks as if it is a combination of lizard and snake skin. The color combination is interesting and the resin is accented by copper metal. Note the sassy tassel and the elegant beads on the 44" chain that attaches to the purse. Purse is 6" high, 6 1/4" wide, 2" deep. Tassel is 5 1/2" long.

Fabulous versatile vintage genuine lizard box bag in navy, with beautiful Art Deco revival two tone gold- and silvertone hardware, and a long shoulder strap which hinges down into the bag, allowing it to be used as a clutch. This iconic, rare black lacquer Elsa Peretti buckle was done early in her career as a jewelry designer. We're not sure if it was done for Tiffany & Co, or earlier when she was designing jewelry for Halston. The buckle measures 3 1/2" (9.4cm) across at the widest point and from the top curve to the point. Maya's lovely resin purse with one sculpted flower to set it off. The man-made hand molded resin for Maya's purses comes from trees native to the Philippines.The resin body of the purse is hand polished and, then, semi precious stones--in this case carnelian, picture jasper and rock crystal nuggets--are added to purse and chain. Measurements of this purse are 6 1/2" by 4" by 2". Chain is 46" end to end.
