Pop the top with this unusual vintage Danish silver plate bottle opener in the Art Deco style, depicting two highly detailed Heraldic figures clad in helmets, tunics and capes, each blowing horns,; Marked on back with Danish silverplate factory mark, 30 and lighthouse. This inlayed Chinese ebony brush holder is 7” high and 6 ½” in diameter. It depicts a Shou Lao (god of longevity) holding a cane; a young boy carrying a flower basket stands behind him. Another young boy wearing a red robe is leading a deer cart filled with flowers and plants and walks in front of Shou Lao and his companion. The inlayed materials are dyed coral, mother of pearl, lacquer and hard stone. It is a 1950’s product. Aside from small age cracks, it is in great condition.

This mold features a bamboo stalk with two groupings of leaves, and the sweetmaker has written "sa-sa-ba" (bamboo leaves) on the side of the mold. Bamboo's resilient nature makes it a symbol of resilience in hard times and was a traditional symbol used for many celebratory occasions, such as births and weddings...

A classic Art Deco figural cocktail shaker in the form of traditional milk can by Reed & Barton. The “Milk Can” was introduced in 1959 and came in two sizes, with the 32-ounce size retailing for $35. This shaker was a luxury product and was made with Reed & Barton’s highest quality plating. The bottom is stamped “Reed & Barton/27/32 oz.” It also retains the original paper lable.

While Buddhism beliefs are typically pacifist, the Nio justified physical force in order to defend against evil and are usually found on either side of a temple door. The Nio called Misshaku Kongo or Agyo keeps his mouth open to represent the first sound in the Sanskrit language "a", symbolizing birth and overt violence...

A Chinese couplet scroll in calligraphy excerpting from a work composed by the noted literati scholar, Su Dongpo from the Song Dynasty. Terrific Gorham silverplate figural shot glass in the form of an early American leather fire bucket. The front side is enameled with the emblem of the Chicago Fire Department surrounded with the words “Little Giant Engine Co. 1871”. The back side is modeled to show the leather handle.
