Chinese carved agate snuff bottle, one side has a fu-dog and a bat, the other side has an old man scholar sitting near a door in a stone wall and another bat, the agate is a pretty light yellowish orange color with white striations of which the figures are carved, lid is reddish orange agate, 20th century. This is a very nice "flick stick" walking stick. When you flick the end of the stick, a small sword blade pops out. This stick measures 34" x 1" x 1". The collar and ferrule both measure an inch. The blade of the sword is 5". This stick is a little rough around the edges, but for such an old piece it is in very good condition!

Extremely fine triple cased sommerso decanter attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte, circa 1950s. With a cranberry colored glass core cased inside a layer of vivid blue, cased again inside lavender. The effect of the three layers of colored glass is stupendous. This lovely decanter has a slightly flattened form and stands over 16.25" tall to the top of the stopper. In excellent condition.

Magnificent 5 inch tall sterling silver salt & pepper shakers or casters designed and signed by American and Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The pair weigh 242 grams or 8 1/2oz. Each is accented with applied silver bands along with a ball and bead atop the dome shape. Each hallmarked on the underside. This design is one of Spratling's last coming from the mid 1960's. Nice large centerpiece bowl with the starry nights design in lattimo glass, with the design expressed using aventurine on a crystal case over latimo glass. The starry nights design is well documented as Fratelli Toso. The bowl is nicely sculpted into a gondola form and the four feet are sculpted from the generous case of crystal on the exterior. This fine piece is in perfect condition, measures 16"w x8"d x7"h, and bears a portion of its Nora Fenton import label.

Rare and very large hand made clay Santos, possibly the Virgin Mary, Cuba, c.1900. Female figure with hinged moveable(when created but no longer)arms. Has three angels and crescent moon and stands on base. There is a little bit of "hair" on head of woman. The piece stands 25 1/2" tall and the base is 8" wide. Heavy weight. Fulvio Bianconi designed the fasce verticale series for Venini. This pair is in good condition. The metal parts show the patina of age. An interesting detail regarding this pair is the rod that runs up the center of the lamp, concealing the wire, is covered with a ribbed clear glass tube which adds an attractive element of finish to the lamps. The lamps are 23" to top of glass.

Modern lighting design thought to be a Gio Ponti design. A ceiling chandelier in the same design is on page 96 of CATALOGUE RAISONNE' by Anna Venini.

Black mask with an unusual slightly conical coiffe. Africa, Gabon, Punu Peoples. Height: 12 " ( 30 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accidents and infestations (no danger), otherwise good condition. This embroidered panel is a ceremonial food cover made by the Lakai, an Uzbek tribe living in small villages near the northern Afghanistan city of Kunduz. The Lakai came to Afghanistan in the 16th century but they were once also found in what is now Uzbekistan and southern Tajikistan. An antique Japanese Ikebana basket in a cylindrical form woven in a herringbone pattern. 6 vertical bamboo supports with flared feet connected with a lucky turtle weave at the base and a woven coin half the way up the side. The turtle would represent longevity and the coins would symbolize prosperity. With a star crossed base and two ring handles.

A large, beautiful, Tiffany style lamp. The lamp is 34 inches (87 cm) tall (to the top of the finial). The shade itself is 19 1/2 inches (50 cm) wide and 8 1/2 inches high (10 inches tall to the metal-top). The contemporary lamp takes three bulbs on the upper sockets and one bulb in the lower, inside-body socket. The lamp is in good condition.

Offered is this beautiful pulled-feather vase made by Durand around 1930. The vase is just under 10 inches tall. Except for a fabrication flaw (a 'pull' in its polished pontil, that sometimes occur in blown glass objects when they are broken-off from the pontil rods - see picture), it is in very good condition (there are some scratches on its side). A vintage mid century modernist pair of salad servers in sterling silver and exotic wood by William Spratling. One is an open slotted spoon/fork and the other is a large serving spoon. They each measure 12 1/4" long and 2 1/4" across the bowls. Marked with the conjoined 'WS', Taxco and 925. These were the marks used between 1933-40, the first design period.

Made of thick lightly hammered sterling with three small balls near where the silver is attached to the wood.

Pair of mirror image porcelain elephant candle holders by Mottahedeh for the DuPont Winterthur Museum. These elephants are hand painted reproductions of the original 17th Century Chinese joss stick holders that are in the museum's collection.

This porcelain figural group was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in the 1940s. It has an inscribed artist's signature, C. Werner, in the base. The figurine measures 11 1/4 inches high and 9 1/4 wide. It is beautifully modeled with fine details. The young, beautiful mother is assisting her infant to take his first steps. It has a classical elegance and yet a modern 1940s stylized look. The figures are realistically hand painted. Condition: Excellent.

Ancient Thai Mon Period Lacquered and gilded Stucco Buddhist Head. The over life-size head is believed to be that of a temple guardian figure. The sculpture was split from ear to ear when we acquired it and had it restored to museum quality the gold is original only the left lower cheek was redone . Japanese bronze okimono sculpture of a Hawk on rockery base. the Hawk stands on a a fantastic bronze rockery base with branches and waves. Signed with character marks on the side of the rockery. Measures 16 1/2" x 19 1/2" x 8". condition was cold painted at a later date though 99% of the paint has been removed.The left foot left toe is missing though a rough toe was created but we removed it during the cleaning it will come with the sculpture.

Rare stoneware teadust melping vase. The broad mouth over narrow shoulders with the sides tapering to a slightly flared foot.

Glazed on the exterior, the base ring left bare as well as the interior below the neck. The base is glazed in the same teadust colour, the green toned glaze pooling around the edges.
