This lovely rolled rim console bowl may be by Tiffin Glass. It is a soft, satin heather-green with embossed fish and stylized waves surrounding the rim. This is a piece of noh drama costume which is called "Choken". Choken is made of silk gauze or weft silk gauze with woven designs with gold and colored threads. It is worn by a dancer or noble man in the noh stage. This choken has woven design of Hagi ( Japanese clover ) and Nadeshiko ( Dianthus ) with gold threads. This ornate pectorial is from the Highlands region of Papua New Guinea and would have been worn by a man during ceremonial occasions. It is made from plant fiber, which was pigment dyed and studded with nassa shells. The piece is accented on either side by a large white cowrie shell.

This wonderful ethnographic artifact was obtained from the estate of an anthropology professor in St. Louis. Having been stored away for many years, the color of the pigment dyes are still relatively strong.

Old oxcart for Hina Matsuri, the Japanese girl's festival. Decorated in makie on lacquered wood, this style of the carriage was used by the aristocrats during the Heian period (I794-1185). This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges in the 1920s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The cup and saucer are octagonal shaped. It is decorated in a bold, abstract art deco design. There are alternating panels of flowers and flowing colors. These panels are produced using thick enamels. You can feel the texture of the designs giving it an effect that is similar to pottery...

The set is made of fine, white bone china. The cup has an Empire style handle that rises above the rim of the cup. This is a really nice crystal ribbed glass Refrigerator Bottle with Lid and metal spout made by McKee. This Jar measures 10 1/2 inches long X 5 1/2 inches X 5 inches. The Bottle is in very good condition. The bottom has no chips, cracks or cloudiness. The lid has a tiny, 1/8 inch flea bit on the side facing you in the picture.
