This Chinese jadeite carving was made in 1970 by a jade carving student. He depicts the Chinese immortals Fu, Lu, Shou standing under what appears to be a peach branch, another good fortune symbol. The jade is polished having apple or mint green complexion.

This BaLin stone carving is a 1970’~1980’s product. It is 3 1/4” high, 3” wide and 1 ¼” thick. It depicts a dragon playing with a fire globe surrounded by lucky clouds. BaLin stone is produced in Chifeng city in Inner Mongolia. The mine was found and developed in the mid-20th century. Now, BaLin stone has become one of the principal materials for making seal stone or stone carving in China. This carving is in great condition.

Classic Nephrite Cong. This is oldest Chinese form still used in its art today. The earliest examples were from the Liangzhu Culture circa 3400 BCE. It’s theorized that the square outer shape represented the while the inner round shape represented the Heavens. Offered is this large signed Seguso Murano glass vase. The vase is 13 3/4 inches (35 cm) tall, 7 3/4 inches (20 cm) wide and 5 inches (12,5 cm) deep. It is without any chips, cracks or repairs. The vase was used for keeping live flowers, and as such, there are some scratches and a water mark on the vase (see last picture - it should be possible to get the water mark off with a vinegar solution). Fine LARGE Glazed Stoneware Studio Pottery Jar - Malcolm Pepper

This large and impressive stoneware jar was made by Malcolm Pepper (1937 - 1980) during the 1970s. It is "heavily-potted" and attractively decorated. Looking inside shows it was thrown in two sections, luted together at the widest part of the body. The outer surface coated in a finely-crackled transparent glaze that has a hint of green. The inner surface coated in a dark iron glaze.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with white core and two birds on a long branch with leaves and flowers. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see the individual petals and leaves, in perfect condition. Height 3/4 inches.
