Kashigata (wooden sweet mold,) kanji characters "Daiou" (Great) motif; Japan, early 20th C. 2-piece Paddle-type mold to make 5 sweets. L.16.75"(42.5cm) x W.2.375"(6cm) x H.1"(2.5cm.) "Daiou" could be symbolic of any type of "greatness," but was most likely a reference to the country during the Japanese Imperial era.

A German majolica lidded pot or box by the Staatliche Majolika-Manufaktur in Karlsruhe, c 1930's. Of cylindrical shape, the glaze light green, the lid with a crackled finish, and decoration of a rearing horse. Relief moulded mark and model number 4083. Diameter of lid "4/ 10 cm, height including lid "2 1/4/ 5,5 cm. Condition: small glaze flake to inner rim of lid.

Lovely Bohemian pale pink cordial set with pastel enameled flowers. The set includes 4 glasses, glass tray, and a decanter with a parrot. We haven't noticed any conditions issues except for age related wear to gold gilt. Decanter measures 10.5 inches high, glasses 2.25" high, tray 7.5" diameter. A very unusual and sweet set.

Japanese limited edition cement mortar block print pencil-titled in kanji "Poem 69-69" (indicating production in 1969) by Maki Haku (1924-2000). Pencil-signed and numbered 59/155 in the lower margin. The artist's square red seal is at the lower left corner of the image. This print features the highly embossed ideographs characteristic of Maki's work. A large framed woodblock print by artist Ouchi Makoto (1926-1989). Ukiyo-e style images of fierce warriors and a demon appear in the two front paper blocks, and have kanji that has been cut from the tops. A beautiful maiden appears in the third block, while a large wave appears in the last, a nod to the famous woodblock artist Hokusai.
