CUP and SAUCER
This is a really pretty depression glass blue Mayfair, aka Open Rose, tea or coffee Cup and Saucer made by Hocking Glass from 1931 to 1936. This Cup measures 3 1/2 inches across the top. The Saucer (which is the dessert plate used as the saucer in blue) measures 5 1/2 inches across. Both the Cup and Saucer are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. Group of three vintage household woven cane baskets acquired in Kandy, Sri Lanka in the 1990s. These were old at the time of acquisition so I would date them to around 50 years of age. Very sturdy and good condition. Dimensions: 1# 19in/48cm x 15/40cm, 2# 15in/38cm x 8in/20cm, 11in/28cm x 5.5in/14cm. Two have wood bases and tops while the the midsize one is covered in skin (I am guessing goat).

Katagami which is used for katazome (stenci-resist-dye), made of many layers of washi (Japanese handmade paper). It is painted with kakishibu (persimmon tannin) for waterproof and strength. The pattern "Kanze-mizu" is derived from the crest of the Noh drama player Kanze Dayu which is whirl of water. He was the founder of Kanze style Noh (15th century).
