This large carved ivory beauty is a 1950’s product. It depicts a young lady (quite possibly an image of a fairy) holding a flower basket in one hand and a branch of peony blossoms in the other. There is a phoenix leaning on her left side. She is almost 14 ¾” high, 3 ¼” wide and 2 ¾” thick. It is in excellent condition.

Being offered is an exceptional and rare circa 1950 sterling silver pitcher by Hector Aguilar, of Taxco, Mexico. Entirely handwrought bulbous form pitcher with a cylindrical incised decorated neck; with superb geometric handle. No monogram. Great weight, a hefty 32 ozs. Marked as illustrated in photo.

This is an old pair of sleeve cuffs from Maqur district in Ghazni province, Afghanistan, embroidered on a thin muslin ground. Red, orange, green and bergundy silk threads are embroidered in a very finely worked ladder stitch, forming interlocking volute designs. Small glass mirrors are artfully incorporated into the embroidery. Mirrorwork embroidery is quite popular in parts of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan...

Persian Heriz hand knotted wool carpet, room size 9' x 12 1/2' Ca. 1950's, beautiful reddish geometric design in the center bordered by dark blue background, typical Heriz design, the condition is good, nice soft wool touch on the surface and very clean and in good condition.

Nice bar accessory for the cocktail buff, this bone handled sterling silver measuring jigger was made by the New York firm John Hasselbring, early 20th century, makers mark, Sterling and Style No. 40 stamped on jigger, and silver base stamped Sterling. Measurements: 5 1/2"L x 2" H; Jigger measures 1 3/4" H. Handle width-1"; Condition is very good vintage with minor pin dots inside jigger. Repair to knob that attaches handle to back of jigger.

A beautifully sculpted image of a pheasant by Ogawa Yuhei enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 37 cm long and in excellent condition.
Yuhei Ogawa (1885-1945) was born in Takamatsu, Okayama prefecture an came to pottery a bit later than most. In 1923, while working part time at the Naval Hydrographic Department, he was deeply moved by seeing the solo exhibition of ceramic sculptor Kazumasa Numata. This gave him impetus to begin sculpting in his free time...

Radiance is a very elegant Depression era pattern that was produced by New Martinsville Glass Company from 1936 to 1939. The pieces are ground and polished on the bottom edges and the color is very rich. Offered here is the 1 oz cordial in cobalt blue. 2 5/8 inches high, I have 2 available. Price is per stem. Chinese Natural Red Coral Figure Kwanyin Guanyin Fine Chinese carved natural salmon red coral figurine. The statue is in a form of Kwan Yin (Guan Yin) or depicting “Ma Gu Xian Shou (Magu Offers Longevity)”, with a basket of lucky flowers, delicately crafted from nonatural red coral. This pretty delphite blue Cherry Blossom depression glass Footed Juice Tumbler was made by Jeannette Glass from 1930 to 1939. The Tumbler has the Cherry Blossom pattern on the under side of the foot. This Miao silver drinking horn would have used for special occasions i.e. prospective in-laws visiting etc. The horn is small 6.5 inches from tip to far rim. The reposse design of dragon and fish is mirrored on each side of the horn.

Vintage East Indian altar shrine, made from brass with copper nails. The step base leads into the shrine with embossed tree panels behind four pillars. The top of the structure has two peacock shaped finials. Openwork repeating patterns and floral motifs are shown throughout.

Exceptional early Showa Period c.1937 art deco bronze flower vase in the original signed paulownia box. The kanji on the box reads: Chudo Ume Moyo "bronze vase with plum petal motif. Also Kabin or "flower vase". On the inside is the signature of Tatsugo and his seal. The bronze has plum petals in raised relief and inside small crosses. The vase itself is divided in sections by incissed lines. Ask for shipping quote. H:20cm ; diameter is 22cm.

These well-carved hardwood Luo Han statues are about 8 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 4 inches in depth. They were carved around 1950. One is holding a 7 storied pagoda; the other is holding a four sided vase. Both have inlayed eyes, but the latter is missing his right eye. They are in good condition.
