Attractive Japanese blue imari charger, 11 1/4 inches in diameter, good condition.

Sterling silver pastry server in Georg Jensen’s 1927 “Viking” pattern (also called “Nordisk”). This is one of the rarest Jensen patterns, and was designed by the master himself. It is beautifully crafted of the heaviest silver and combines traditional Scandinavian motifs with an Art Deco sensibility. The reverse is stamped with the hallmark used until 1930. This pattern has been out of production for many years, and is extremely hard to find.

This porcelain tea cup & Saucer was produced in Japan by Noritake in the early 1900s. The “Kormoru” mark was registered in London in 1908. Items with this mark were made especially for the English market and were of superb quality. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 inches high with a diameter of 3 5/8 inches. This doll is a Hakata clay doll, “Matsukaze” design by the well known Japanese artist, Yoshio Matsuoka.

Matsukaze is a story of two beautiful sisters who met and fell in love with a young courtier in exile at the seashore of Suma Bay. The sisters were “shio kumi”, the saltwater bearers who made their living by ladling seawater (before it was boiled down to salt). Matsukaze is the name of the older sister and literally means “wind through the pine trees”...

An iconic Bizen sake set by legendary artist and Living National Treasure Kaneshige Toyo enclosed in the original signed wooden box dating from the pre-war era titled Inbe yaki Tokuri. The bottle is delicately rendered and features the play of colors and textures for which he would be known, with a dark gray rim, while the cup is thinly made in a warm orange tinge. Both bear his fundo stamp on the bottom...

Wonderfully detailed print of snowy herons huddled together in the water by Japanese artist Ohara Koson (1877-1945). This is a shin-hanga style of print, a revitalization of the traditional ukiyo-e style, which means "pictures of the floating world", popularized during the Edo period in Japan (17th-19th century). The background of the print fades beautifully from the icy grey and white toned sky into the gorgeous blues of the water...

A stunning pair of gold gilt mirror image cloisonné hat stands. Often used as vases, the front of each hat stand features a vase of flowers with a peaceful scene of a man in a boat viewing the horizon. The sides and back have assorted images of Chinese scholar article and Buddhist symbols. Decorative trim work along the top rim and bottom rims, are a nice finishing touch to the enameled background which is a dark rust color with thin gold colored cloisens creating the shape of tiny clouds...

High quality pair of proud standing male and female figures from the Igbo people in Nigeria, made of strong and heavy wood and mounted on custom stands. The figures were made around 1950.
