An very pretty, oblong Iga vase for tokonoma presentation with compressed body and a long, trumpet-shaped neck. Two small ears on the side. Partly covered (upper part) with a running, olive-green glaze. Signed. Artist unidentified (see photo). Vintage. H 23.5 cm. Condition: Perfect.

A pair of sleeve cuffs from Katawaz in Ghazni province, early to mid 20th century. Measuring 36.2 x 54 cm, they are stitched in bergundy silk thread on two fine white linen cloths. The overall design is a densely arranged pattern of repeating whorl designs and curvilinear motifs, flanked by two eight-pointed stars on both ends. The embroidery technique is a tightly worked ladder stitch, a characteristic feature of the small purses from Katawaz...

Traditional Tibetan bowl for tsampa (barley flour dough, the usual Tibetan meal) made of burl and silver. Beautiful outside silver decoration with geometrical and floral designs.
This bowl probably belonged to a wealthy person.
Good condition except for a small accident of use on the rim and some wood missing under (see pix). D: 11 cms. Tibet

Chinese Natural Turquoise stone Tassel/Pendant, 7" long total length, 3/4" wide and 5/8" high for center oval shape carved Turquoise with Chinese Character inscribed on both side attached with round Turquoise beads on the top and the bottom, wrapped around with Chinese style Macrame cord. The Turquoise stone is old and in good condition with natural infusions.

Whimsical jadeite carving of a Chinese cabbage, with very detailed leaves slightly peeled back, a bumpy texture and veining on the back of each leaf, and a small critter crawling along the top of the cabbage. Very realistic and beautifully carved. 20th century Size: 5.25" height, 10" length

Asa (hemp) noragi (work wear) with fine kasuri pattern which is katazome (stecil-resist-dye) and vegetable indigo dye. Both weft and warp are hand-plied. This kind of thick hemp textiles are found in Tohoku district. Generally in good condition but has some mending patches and stitches and wear in shoulder lines. Late 19th to early 20th century. old mushroom mask, with a shiny black patina. These mask are made from tree parasit mushroom with a minimal carving work. The aime of the carvers is to take advantage of the native form of the mushroom. These masks are usually hung inside homes to function as protective effigies.
