Chinese print, made in the 1950s by the National Museum in Taipei, of 16th or 17th century original fan. This print is part of a collection of four volumes each with 10 prints or paintings and fans. The woman is wearing elegant garments that billow in the wind as she stands atop a phoenix whose wings are flapping as they ascend through the clouds together, the sun glowing behind them. The image measures 8" wide. The book measures 15.25" tall 13" wide .5" deep.

A bunch of grapes in slight color under shadowy cool leaves decorate the milky white and sand toned surface of this very unusual plate by Kitaoji Rosanjin enclosed in a wooden box annotated by Living National Treasure Arakawa Toyozo dated 1968. It is 19 cm (7-1/2 inches) diameter and in excellent condition.

This old ceramic tray/plate is made for the Straits Chinese Community, it is of the typical pheonix design. It is an example of the nyonya ware, handpainted and used for serving tea. This ivory snuff bottle is a mid - 20th century product. It is 2 5/8” high, 1 ¾” wide and 1” thick. One side is a relief carving of Shou Xing (God of Longevity) and his young apprentice. The other side is an etching of bird, flowers and trees. It is in great condition.

Famous, large and very heavy brass and tile hand wrought footed box showing HENS by Salvador Teran, Mexico, c.1952. Design shows 5 hens heads on top set in black tiles all around the box. The hinged inside is brass as is the bottom. The inside has a black patina which shows it has interacted with another material(see photo) but doesn't affect the integrity of the piece and could be removed. Box measures 8 1/4" long by 6" wide by 2" high...

A large cloth, silk brocade, lined with cotton with ties on one side. Dimensions: 104 1/4” long x 45” in width (2.65m x 1.14m). There are four 26” panels sewn together (sewing machine), each panel is decorated with a pair of phoenix birds one parched on a paulownia tree and the other on a rock. Although the fabric is of high quality silk, it actually is older than it appears - you need to handled gently. The gold sparkles when it is hit by lights. The color is not red...

Fine Japanese miniature garden kit, all made with natural material, ca 1940-1960, original wood box. We used a simple cardboard box as a tray with small black pebbles under. You can created/draw water if the sand is used instead. The dimension of the box are 15 3/4” x 7 3/16” x 3 5/8”. Fence: 9 1/8 long (flattened for storage) x 3 3/4” high. Board with a frog: 5 1/8” long. Please ask for other measurements.

Large wheel engraved vase depicting birds in trees just leafing out, the design is executed over the entire surface of the vase from base to rim. The shape of the vase is a tapering, pinched, ovoid form. Japanese woodblock print of the Yasaka pagoda in Kyoto by Toshijiro Inagaki (1902-1963) depicting, almost exclusively in shades of blue, the pagoda and surrounding houses with water and hills in the distance. A classic Art Deco figural cocktail shaker in the form of traditional milk can by Reed & Barton. The “Milk Can” was introduced in 1959 and came in two sizes, with the 32-ounce size retailing for $35. This shaker was a luxury product and was made with Reed & Barton’s highest quality plating. The bottom is stamped “Reed & Barton/27/32 oz.” It also retains the original paper lable.
