Green and yellow bearded dog figural decanter, hollow with hole for cork. Seguso made these decanters for Luxardo in the 1960's. Length/height of the decanter is 12 inches (30cm). Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs. Unsigned, but with Luxardo liqueur labels, import labels. Please note: there is some "debris" inside the bottle as I did not wash it out for fear of destroying the labels.

This stylized interpretation of a waterbird illustrates the inspiration that the environment of the Venetian Lagoon has provided for centuries of artists. The waterbird sculpture is done in sommerso, with wine red blending masterfully into light cobalt blue. I have seen this design attributed to both Archimede Seguso and Alfredo Barbini. This chalkware TV lamp is of a deer jumping over a log at the edge of a forest. The lamp is painted in greens, browns and black, and is wonderfully detailed, from the bark on the log, to the branches on the trees.
