Beautiful Daum Nancy 4 5/8 inch tall cameo cabinet vase decorated with red lily flowers and green leaves on a pale amber ground which in turn incorporates an amethyst spatter pattern near the base. The vase is 1 7/8 inches in diameter at the rim and 2 ½ inches at the shoulder. The vase is signed with the Daum logo and “France”in cameo. A differently shaped vase having the same decoration and coloration is shown as item E in figure 127 on page 86 of Blount’s “French Cameo Glass.”

Melusina or Melusine is a heroine in medieval European folklore. This figurine is a modernist version of her transformation into an often two-tailed mermaid or fish. Unglazed stoneware and gilt hairstyle. Little is known about Y-Keramik other than the workshop was situated in former Western Germany and that the gilding was made of 24 karat gold, this information available on paper labels on other Y-Keramik figures from the 1970's. Fenton Rose Mist Pitcher was made in the early 1960's as part of their Vasa Murrhina collection. It is about 5.25" high. This syrup does have some "schmutz" on the interior side of the top opening. A minor inconvenience, but I must include its presence. These are impurities within the making of the glass.
