Several companies made variations of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best due to their superior weight and workmanship. An attractive, colorful frit paperweight showing a pair of hearts shot through with an arrow and surrounded by a laurel wreath and the word "Friendship," all against a bright mottled umbrella ground. The pontil is ground and frosted. The glass is nicely free of striae and bubbles. The quality of workmanship is quite good, and the weight is certainly the handiwork of one of the better West Virginia glass makers, possibly Gentile.
