Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Made in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. This is the sherbet in French Crystal.(French Crystal is high polish figures against a satin finish background - named because of the Lalique quality this finish gives the glass.) A drop shaped small dish, three-legged and with painted decoration of a Camargue pony horse. Provence, France, possibly Vallauris, 1950's and signed GG. Width "6½/ 16,5 cm, height "1/ 2,5 cm. Condition: fine.

A small Mid Century unpolished sterling box with wooden insert. Marked 950 Sterling, it measures 3-1/2"(w) x 1-1/4"(h). There is a nick on the top and it doesn't close tightly, otherwise in fine condition.

Two charming little elephants and a kangaroo, part of a miniature glass menagerie from the Bimini Werkstätte in Vienna (1923 – 1938). Lampworked, the insides covered by a shimmering mother-of-pearl-like mercury layer. Height "1 ½ - 1 ¾ / 3.5 - 5 cm. Condition: a few flakes to the interior (cf. pics).

Faience pitcher by Aegitna in Vallauris, France. Aegitna or Saltamacchia was one of the first ceramic workshops established in the village of Vallauris near Cannes and the Mediterranean. Vallauris was to become the most famous center in postwar Europe for the renewal of ceramic art, and many modernist ceramists like Picasso settled there to work...

Silver lipstick holder and cover. Stippled surface and an octagonal base that keeps the lipstick steadily upright. Made around 1940, hallmarked 830, with makers monogram for Hansen & Andersen, well-known Danish silversmiths. Ready for use; a new lipstick can be inserted and then maneuvered by turning the base. Length: "2/ 5 cm, weight 37 grams. Condition: fine

Three small dishes in a soft leaflike shape, in the white and very thinly glazed. From the Revernay pottery (founded in a village with that name around 1900 and moved to Vallauris in southern France after WWII). Many avantgarde ceramists who worked in modernist style – one of them being Picasso – gathered in Vallauris in the 50s and 60s. Width "3 / 7.5 cm. Condition: rim frits to one dish (cf. pics).

Individual salt and pepper set of Guilloche enamel over sterling silver having an open salt dish and a mushroom shaped pepper shaker. Made in Denmark by Ela. In excellent condition, they measure: Salt 2" diameter, .75" high; Pepper 1.5" diameter, 1.75" high.
