American Rockingham, the ware for which Bennington, Vermont became famous in the mid 19th century, is English in origin and name for the Marquis of Rockingham, whose works at Swinton produced a ware similar brownish color. The pottery itself is cream colored or yellow ware that is dipped in or spattered with a brown glaze before firing.

Found in Freeport, Maine, this is a PAIR of circa 1870 American drawings, (possibly a bit earlier), the first of General George Washington on a prancing horse, the second of a cut glass compote overflowing with fruit. Each measures 11 3/4" by 8 3/4" inside the mats, 16" by 12" overall, one of the mats deep maroon, the other, black. They are unframed, taped on the reverse to the mats at the edges...

This Staffordshire standing greyhound and hare figurine is 11 1/2" tall. The base is 3 1/4" deep and 9 1/2" long. There are no crack , no chips, and no repairs to this item. This item only has one scratch on his back. This item is circa 1860.
This could be your lucky day, here is a four leaf clover needle case probably made by the Woodland Indians in the North East. It opens like a book and has three round pieces wool of white wool with green floss edging. The clover is made with green floss. the sewing needle case is hinged with a green ribbon tied in a bow and the latch is also green ribbon that ties to keep it closed. It is in excellent condition. It is 2 1/2" in diameter. Circa late 1800's.

This basked is American, circa 1880. It is white with blue ruffled trim, and has what appears to be mica is the glass. The handle is clear, and it is quite large, measuring 9 1/2" tall x 11" wide and 7 1/2" deep. It is in perfect original condition.
