Three small dishes in a soft leaflike shape, in the white and very thinly glazed. From the Revernay pottery (founded in a village with that name around 1900 and moved to Vallauris in southern France after WWII). Many avantgarde ceramists who worked in modernist style – one of them being Picasso – gathered in Vallauris in the 50s and 60s. Width "3 / 7.5 cm. Condition: rim frits to one dish (cf. pics).

French Majolica knife rests from the 1950s, a pair. Handmade, unsigned but likely from Vallauris, the foremost ceramic centre in postwar France, also favoured by artists like Picasso. Length c."4/ 10 cm. Condition: a small glaze flake to the tip of the tail of one dove (cf. pic 3 and 4).

A group of four small French Vallauris 1950's Demi-Demi (half-half) pieces: a handled black and white jug and a black and white pitcher, a mini vase in turquoise blue and black, and a small yellow and black cache-pot. All probably by Cérenne. Height "3 ¼/ 8 cm to "5 ¾/ 14,5 cm. Condition: the jug with a minimal flake to the rim.

French Majolica plate by Cerenne, Vallauris, 1950's. Relief moulded and brightly painted decoration of sea food, the animals forming reserves for six oysters. Charles René Roger Neveux ("Cerenne" = CRN) was the leader of one of the most popular ceramic studios in Vallauris. Diameter "10/ 25,5 cm. Condition: a few minimal chips and a small restoration to the rim as seen on photo.

Double-handled bowl or serving pot, c 1960, painted in green and brown over white crackle glaze, and with a Greek fret or wave sgraffitto border. Marks for Robert Picault. Width "5½/ 14 cm, height "2¼/ 5,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Pair of snail dishes by Robert Picault in French Vallauris. Decoration in green and brown, each dish intended for half a dozen snails. Pierced handles to allow for the dishes to be exposed on the kitchen wall. Marked RP. Width "8¼/ 21 and "8½/ 21,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Large three-legged stoneware dish of asymmetrical shape with a carved and enameled non-figural motif in yellow, blue, red and green on white. The three legs articulated in white against a black background. 1950's, unsigned, in the style of Kostanda, Rivier, Fidler or Derval. Width "12/ 30 cm, height "2¾/ 7 cm. Condition: two of the legs restuck (cf. last photo).

A pair of 1950's French egg cups. Marbled glaze in green and red on white and sweep shape to one side of the border. One cup with impressed mark "Vallauris". Height "2¼/ 6 cm. Condition: fine.

Four(4) French Majolica Faience Pottery Asparagus Plates, Dishes, 9 1/4" diameter, 7/8" high, raised Asparagus design with separate section for Hollandaise Sauce area with basket weave design border. Marked on the bottom "Sarreguemines, France" in black, no damages.

A French Vallauris dish by Cerenne, with black, silky glaze. Decoration in bright enamels of a gardener with his tools and flower pots.The back with impressed Vallauris mark and painted MC (painters signature) and Cerenne Vallauris. Cerenne (=CRN) was the signature used by one of the largest ceramic workshops in Vallauris, led by Charles René Roger Neveux. Diameter "8¾/ 22,5 cm. Condition: small rubbing to the glaze just outside the right flower.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the 1950s. It has the artist’s signature, Fritz Heidenreich, impressed into the base. It had a 13 1/2 inch wing span and is 8 1/4 inches high. The figurine is expertly modeled by this highly renowned artist. This drake is hand painted in natural colors.
