This is a lovely 18th century Japanese Arita (we think) blue and white porcelain plate, bearing a peach mark and surrounded by bats, good luck signs; decorated with bands of stylized cloud forms and flowers; rim chips; 7 3/8".

Blowpipes have been used for hunting in some parts of the world, and in Western Flanders blowpipe with darts or arrows was a popular sport for about a hundred years, starting at the beginning of the 19th century. This unusual plate was made for a local Flemish blowpipe association around 1840-1850. This is a decorative early 19thC Chinese Famille Rose porcelain plate, the soft white ground wonderfully painted with enameled birds, butterflies, and flowers. Measurement: 8 in.; Condition: Good with some gilt wear to rim and several rim chips.

She is the turn of the century Chinese Goddess of Mercy and Hearer of all Prayers. She is beautifully detailed, right down to her fingers and the beads around her neck. She has a traditional hair style and long flowing robes. She is depicted carrying a lotus flower and standing on a bed of lotus blossoms and seeds.

Blanc de Chine ( white from China ) porcelain is usually associated with Dehua kilns. She was made from a mold, not on a potter's wheel...

This Staffordshire standing greyhound and hare figurine is 11 1/2" tall. The base is 3 1/4" deep and 9 1/2" long. There are no crack , no chips, and no repairs to this item. This item only has one scratch on his back. This item is circa 1860.

Description: Excellent color, long handle, Doric type columns, road imprinted with wheel marks terminating at a gate across the far end, arched leaves overhead, rolled in top with pulled pouring spout.

This porcelain dish was produced in Bavaria, Germany by Tirschenreuth in the 1960s. It measures 7 5/8 inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. It is artist signed “Andrews.” The porcelain dish is formed in the shape of a leaf and has a handle on one end. The inside of the dish is hand painted with vividly colored flowers and raspberries. There is heavy gilding around the rim and on the handle...

Teapot, milk jug, cup and saucer, a solitaire service made by the Carl Knoll factory in Czech Carlsbad / Karlovy Vary. Cross-striped like the Victorian bathing-suits – just a coincidence or might there be a thought behind this design? Carlsbad was a fashionable 19th century spa, famous for its hot springs. Impressed mark for 1848 – 1868. Height of teapot "4 ½ / 11 cm including handle, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: a nick to the cup (cf. pics).

Description: Hound handle. Deep relief molded animals on both sides.

American Rockingham, the ware for which Bennington, Vermont became famous in the mid 19th century, is English in origin and name for the Marquis of Rockingham, whose works at Swinton produced a ware similar brownish color. The pottery itself is cream colored or yellow ware that is dipped in or spattered with a brown glaze before firing.

Description: This is a better sponge ware 9" pitcher with a swelled bottom below the cylindrical body with a pulled pouring spout and angled loop handle overall blue sponging on white.

Dimensions: 4 1/2" interior diameter.

This is a gorgeous luster teacup and saucer decorated with scrolls and flowers. Some wear to the rim pink.

Dimensions cup: 2 7/8" tall, 3 1/8" mouth diameter

Dimensions saucer: 5 3/8" diameter , 1 1/4 deep

This majolica pitcher has an unusual anchor and chain pattern around the top and pale pink flowers with green leaves on a cream background in the center. It has a brown basket weave bottom. There is some clay shrinkage on the inside. See picture for details. There are no marks.

19044536 A 19th century lithophane of a weeping semi-nude woman leaning against the wall in a room with an overturned chair, a spinning wheel and paintings on the wall above the wainscotting. The back of the lithophane is marked “1421.” The lithophane is 4 ½ by 5 inches.

A fine quality, fully hand painted English bone china covered oval entree dish dated 1907. Made by Royal Crown Derby in the 6452 pattern, this 11-1/4" x 7-3/4" serving dish has a cobalt band with matte gold painting including a grape vine motif and white enamel jewelling.
