This porcelain figurine of a kitten was produced in Bavaria by Rosenthal between 1921 and 1922. It is signed by the artist, Theodore Karner. Pretty set of eight bone china coasters by Royal Worcester. Each has a hand painted transfer-printed floral bouquet design. The outer edges are ridged and the rims are gilt. In addition to their original purpose, the coasters could also be used for nut dishes or even butter pats.

Charmingly kitschy majolica figurines, a pair of musicians by Ditmar Urbach, c 1930. An accordionist and a flutist, in Robin Hood-like attire. Height "9½/ 24 cm. Printed mark Ditmar Urbach Made in Germany, impressed model numbers 14257 and 142 58. The mark was in use before the confiscation of the factory in 1938 . Condition: a nick to the hand of one musician and repair to the hat of the other, and to the feet of both (cf. photos).
