A fine silver tastevin inset with a 1772 silver 8 reales coin from the reign of Carlos III. The deeply-curved sides of the tastevin are decorated in a characteristically Spanish baroque style with ornate chasing and engraving. The handle is in the form of a curled dragon-like creature.

Though they were fashionable in France in the 19th century, coin tastevins only became stylish in Spain around 1950...

A set of 6 Dutch silver engraved coffee spoons. This decorative set of six 4-1/4" twist handle spoons has a full set of hallmarks with the lion passant II mark (post 1953, .835 silver content) and a VD M maker's mark. A fine and vintage Scandinavian sterling silver pair of fish servers mady by the Finnish firm of Miettinen + Nurmi (1947-60). This pair has the date stamp for 1959 and 813H and the maker's mark. The 6-3/8" long fork comes with the matching 7-1/4" long fish knife. Unusually, both the blade and handle are also .813 silver, and this set has never been monogrammed...

Six 17th century style sterling silver coffee spoons in the original velvet and satin lined box. The finials are in the shape of globe artichokes. Each spoon is fully hallmarked for London, 1946. Both the spoons and the box are in mint condition. Spoons 4" long.

This vintage 1940's hand hammered, hand forged 980 sterling silver bowl was designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). Weighing a hefty 652 grams or 23 oz. the bowl measures 10 inches across and 2 inches high. The base measures 5 1/4" across. The rim is finished with a thick rope design. This piece is in beautiful condition & fully hallmarked for Spratling on the reverse.

Colonial Revival sterling silver bowl. Made by Dominick & Haff in New York in 1940. Tapering sides, flared rim, curved bottom, and raised and inset foot. Traditional form with plenty of room for engraving. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. X1455, Reed & Barton date symbol, and phrase “Paul Revere / Reproduction”. Dominick & Haff was acquired by Reed & Barton in 1928. Very good condition.
