These salad servers comprise a fork and spoon with rosewood handles and hand-wrought sterling silver tines and bowl. Each is decorated with three simple applied beads at the collar that wraps around the handles. The backs bear the mark of Taxco silversmith Bernice Goodspeed as well as sterling marks. Both are securely attached to the handles, although the spoon is a bit loose. The wood is in very nice shape, and the silver shows much oxidation but little wear...

Being offered is a rare handwrought circa 1955 door plate by Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico. Handcrafted door plate comprising a brass frame in a floral motif with allover exquisite and masterful abalone inlay. Dimensions are 12 inches diameter; center opening is 1 1/4 inches diameter. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in the photo. In excellent condition.

Early 1950's silver plate and enamel bowl, designed by Henning Koppel. This model was produced in more than one color and size and by more than one Danish silverware producer, the foremost being Georg Jensen. This bowl is marked (illegible)…dröste and Denmark. Diameter "4 ½ / 11.2 cm and height "2 ¼ / 6 cm. Condition: some wear to the silvered surface as expected (cf. pics).

A heavy pewter jigger in the form of a shotgun shell by Conoy’s of London. The side is marked off in increments, and the head and rim and finished in brass. The side is engraved “Big Shot.” Conoy’s started as a luxury pipe maker and eventually expanded their range to include canes, flasks, and other gentlemen’s accessories.

All awarded in 1950s for a comet class boat, which was a snug 2-crew vessel developed in Maryland in the 1930s. One has the boat name, the Eisenhower-era cozy domestic-sounding “We Two”. A lovely set of mid-century enameled sterling silver coffee spoons by Henry Clifford Davis. Davis focused mostly on smaller objects, often enhanced with enamel.
