An unmarked but Arts and Crafts period bud vase with a square and austere silver plated base and a hand blown and pulled square glass vase insert with a flared neck c1890-1900. This vase measures 7/8" across the base and it stands 6" high; it has all of the handcrafted style expected in the Arts and Crafts European style of this era. This hand hammered sterling silver bowl was designed & signed c. 1940's by Taxco Mexico artist William Spratling. The interior of the bowl measures 6 1/2" across & 2 1/2 inches deep. Bowl weight is 652 grams or 23 oz. Each of the 3 handles are accented with 2 raised silver domes. Beautiful condition. Excellent accent piece for any room. This design is included in the superb & permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at LACMA.
