A wonderful Chinese Bronze Buddha, crowned on a lotus seat with serene expression in the face.
The antique inscribtion says 'Ming Di Yong Ping San Nian Zhi', translatable as 'Made in the Third Year of the Yongping Reign of Emperor Ming'.
Ming Di was the posthumous reign title of Liu Yang, who succeeded to the throne on the death of his father to become the 2nd emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The third year of his rule would have been 60 A.D...

This bowl is glazed in white overall except for the foot and base, save for a small bit of glaze on the base. The fine, white porcelain paste is exposed on the base.

Wonderful condition, Japanese Antique Tetsubin (kettle). Made of iron, kettle has engraved geometric shapes and patterns all over, with stylized flower bulb on top of lid. Lid is signed on bottom by artist. Sturdy handle, and small charming spout.

This pair of late Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) bowls with cover are 2 3/4 inches high (4 inches with cover) and 5 5/8 inches in diameter. Peony, chrysanthemum, lily, hibiscus, iris and several unknown flowers are painted over the entire exterior and the interior rim of both bowls and covers. There are Qian Long (1736~1795) honorable marks on the bottoms of the bowls and a single peony blossom on the center of the covers. The workmanship is elegant...

The style of the cup is from the early Biedermeire Period, 1815 -1848. The saucer measures 4 3/4 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 inches tall (without the handle) and has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches.
