Made of a rare red or natural Cherry Amber, which is thought to be another form of Jet. The bottle is well-hollowed, with very thin walls, thus, very light in weight. Very large Burmese hammered repousse copper-brass-bronze alloy bowl with traces of silver, decorated with 8 relief panels of Elephants, a Buddhist Lion and several other animals as well as stylized foliage. Such bowls were primarily used in ceremonies. 19th Century. Good condition. Nice aged patina. Size: H. 16 cm. x 30 cm. diameter at center (H.6.5" x 12" diameter).

Chinese Export Blue and White covered deep serving Tureen or Dish, Ca. 1800-1820, 5 1/2" high, 9 1/4" x 8 1/4" wide, with cut corner shape and Pine Cone Knob on top, very nice soft underglaze blue with sampan floating in the lake, pavilion and pagoda under willow tree next to bridge. Underglaze blue is just right for the type of Canton ware for early period. The condition is good.

Beautiful antique Chinese rank badge. Silk embroidered with bats and clouds and a Kirin on a rock surrounded by waves and flowers. Details in gold threat. Age: 19th century. Size: 12"L x 11"H

Chinese White Jade Carving Pendant & Ring Silver Necklace,19th Century

It is 18.5 inches (47 cm) in circumference. The pendant is 2 inches (5.1 cm) long by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide and 5.5 mm thick. The ring is 16 mm- 18.2 mm diameter by 3.6 mm - 6.2 mm wide. The total weight is 104.5 gram.

It has flea bite chips and inclusions at the jade, and tarnished at the metal ring and clip (as seen in the photos).

Unusual pottery bowl with hand molded snake handle. I cannot find any pieces similar in style to this although the reddish clay and heavy potting are reminiscent of Hongshan pottery. This came out of China and has a good petrichor and water absorption on the base, very old- at least 2000 to 3000 years old but probably older. W: 14cm/5.5in and H: 12cm/4.7in.

BRONZE INCENSE BURNER
Byzantine Empire, 5th - 6th Century AD

Cast bronze, the outside rim of the bowl incised with two lines pattern, three loops on the rim joined to suspension chains.
The use of censers in Christian worship became widespread after the reign of Emperor Constantine the Great. The burning of incense had a central place in Christian ritual and was more important in the eastern than the western liturgy. The censers were hung in various places in the church...

Very Rare/Fine White Slip Inlaid Punchong Cup: Korea, 15th century The deep bowl of cylindrical form sharply angled towards the base and set on a raised ring foot, decorated with white slip rain-spot inlaid on the exterior between double rings, In the interior, a ring medallion surrounded by a white slip inlaid Ruyi pattern band ring, foot rim unglazed and the base glazed with a grey celadon. It’s in fine condition but a tiny chip repaired. Measurements; 8.5cm x 3.8cm h.

Old Chinese root wood sculpture of Daoist Immortal Zhang Guo Lao on his deer, holding a hardstone peach of immortality. 36cm high 26cm wide. In 2 parts. Undated, estimated to be 19th century. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide, insurance and track required.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brownfield’s China between the 1870s and 1880s. It was made especially for Tiffany in New York. It is artist signed “Hartmann” and titled “The Lark”. The plate measures 9 1/4” in diameter. The plate is made of fine, white bone china. The border is celeste blue with raised French enamel roses and Asian mons. The edges of the plate are richly gilded and there is beaded and lacy gilded accents...

Chinese 2 section cabinet made of light color jumu (elm) wood, the top section cabinet doors cover an open compartment with a shelf and two small drawers, the bottom section has 2 exterior drawers and another set of cabinet doors, circa 1900. Size: 67" high x 38 1/4" wide x 18" deep.

A very nice ceramic figure of the standing female deity Artemis with her boots on, leaning with her right on a pillar, Roman Imperial, 1st.-3rd. century AD.

This is a fabulous bronze axe from ancient China. Socketed axes of thus type were typical to the Northern tribes in Shang and Early Zhou periods (circa 1100 BC). This particular type is quite rare and rarely seen in private collections.

Rather unusual 19th century Japanese bronze scroll weight in a form of a chestnut. Clever design in Japanese taste, superb naturalistic modeling (see perfectly worked texture of the bottom), beautiful warm brown patina, beautiful gilding, pleasantly heavy. Old collection number in red on the underside. Wonderful piece in scholar’a taste. Length 1 5/16 inches.
