Lovely antique Japanese large rectangular tray with a scene of a woman gazing at the moon (inlaid mother of pearl), she is sitting near a small stream with flowers and grasses, misty clouds above, the tray is made of kiri wood and the decoration is made of beautiful cherry wood bark, outer sides are also covered in cherry bark, Taisho Period. Size: 24 3/4" long x 15 1/4" wide x 3 1/2" deep.

An ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1000 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 1/2” long (13 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

This is Indigo dye cotton shibori & katazome yogi textile of the last part of Edo era(1800-1868).It is made of hand-spun and hand-woven and natural indigo dyed cotton. It has a stain to a little damage and lining. However, it does not stand out.It has one repair trace. It is very good condition. size:150cm x 140cm (59.0" x 55.1")

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Helena Wolfsohn Dresden in the 1880s. The shape of the set is quatrefoil. It is decorated with alternating panels of flowers and landscape scenes with lovers in gardens. Ornate gilding trims the rims and separates the panels. All the decoration is painstakingly hand painted in the Meissen style. Condition: Excellent

This is japanese antique tsutsugaki Thick shirushi hanten jacket of the indigo dye at the Meiji era. (1868-1912).This is a hanten jacket specially ordered by the store, which had a warehouse to manage and store products in the Meiji era. There is one inside pocket. It can be worn and enjoyed. Cotton is wonderful and valuable. It is very warm touch. The motif of the (kura)Warehouse of the family crest and is very Charming & impressive. There is a little stain. However, the state is very good...

I purchased these four Hayes points from Tom Davis in the 1990's. They are from the Mississippian period and were found in SW Arkansas. Tom was selling them for Ken Partain and they are pictured in Prehistoric Antiquities of which I have the original publication. Tom sent me 79 Hayes points. I cherry picked the top four. All Hayes points are extremely rare and most on the market are fake according to one of top area authenticators...

A fine Yuan dynasty longquan celadon large dish, rounded side with bracket lobbed rim and glazed base, there is a ring for firing at the base, dish decorated with rare tree motif at the center and vertical ribbing suggesting flower petal motif, dish covered with good green glaze.
Dish is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, porcelain with high ping sound with finger tip.
size: 34.5 cm diameter.

Yuan - early Ming Hongwu minyao small bowl with flower motif, good condition with small chip and hairline at the rim please see picture for detail, size: 9.5 cm diameter, 5 cm height.

Large old Chinese rosewood stand on 5 small feet. Well constructed, it is very sturdy and will hold a lot of weight. There appears to be a repair on the inner bottom, but when we tried to move the piece in question, it would not budge. Therefore there are absolutely no condition issues with this stand. Measures 3.25" (8.9 cm) high, and about 8.5" (21.6 cm) diameter (see 2nd photo).

This small Japanese ivory okimono is a mid-19th century product. It is 4 1/8″ high, 1 3/4″ wide and 1 1/4″ thick. It depicts a smiling fisherman standing on the shore. The fisherman is wearing a traditional bandanna and a straw apron. He uses both hands to pull a fish net in. The artist’s signature “Gyokudo” is on the base. Aside from some old repairs and crack lines due to its age, it is in good condition.

This is an exquisite satsuma cup and saucer set. The work is very finely detailed and difficult to pick up with the camera. Saucer is 4 1/4 inches across. Cup is 3 3/4 inches across at the handle. Both pieces in nearly mint condition and both are signed Matsumoto Hozan.

19th century netsuke of a seated peasant woman having a snack as she takes a break from carrying a huge bag on her back. Nicely carved, wonderful face, beautifully carved and etched textile patterns.
