Chinese Nyonya Ware plate with a foliated base painted with pomegranates, peaches and bats symbolizing fruitfulness, prosperity and happiness. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nonya ware. Antique Japanese box with large lid, lacquered red and black with shell inlay, black lacquer mon of pine tree and writing in black, heavy iron hardware, has holes for tying top to bottom for travel. The inscription on both sides state the name of the confectioner. Trans.: Confectioners Matsuzaka Asano Rokkado. Late Edo Period- Meiji Period (late 19th century). Top and bottom drawers have central hand forged kiri leaf mon (family crest) over iron locks. Original finish in stunning warm translucent lacquer tones.

17th Century Tibetan Arhat Thangka, 36 x 26 inches, 91.5 x 66 cm. Most of these thangka were photographed through glass frames, so there may be a little blurriness. This thankga was in an exhibition at the University of Texas Art Museum.

A rare Yuan dynasty Shufu glaze large lobbed bowl, rounded side with lobbed rim and unglazed base, bowl decorated with molded large dragon motif at the center, inner wall with continuous flower motif, outer wall with flower motif, unglazed base.
Bowl is in good condition with shallow glaze defect on inner rim, no crack, no restoration, rare to find a sfuhu bowl with dragon motif.

Guangxu mark, ca. 1875-1908

Interior of dish is decorated with multi-colored overglaze enamels in a pattern known as “thousand flowers” in the West. Most of the various blossoms are painted in thick white enamel which is then shaded with different colors of enamel glaze. Space between the flowers is filled with gold enamel. The reverse is enameled with a design of three flower sprays. A six-character Guangxu mark is painted on the base in red enamel...

A well decorated, monogrammed and marked hard paste porcelain plate. The outside border is decorated with a narrow peach ground and elaborate gilding with green dots and red lines. It includes a monogram dominated by the letter "R." The center of the plate is decorated with pears and a moth.

The maroon printed mark, "Ch.PILLIVUYT & Cie/PARIS/EXP 1867/MEDAILLE D'OR" is printed inside a dotted oval under the base. Charles Pillivuyt was a well-established porcelain manufacturer...

Antique Islamic fruit sherbet spoon made of solid silver, 19th century Turkey. It has a Turkish Ottoman coin bowl and a long twisted stem handle. The silver is marked 800, indicating its grade, and has an elaborate finial in the shape of a crown. The finial is adorned with Islamic symbols, including a crescent moon and a star. The bowl is made of a 20 Kurush silver coin of Sultan Abdul Aziz II, which is dated AH 1277 (1861-1874 AD)...
