It is covered overall in a translucent green-white 'qingbai' glaze, except for the base which remains fully unglazed...
Diameter approximately 19.5 cm (across handles). Height approximately 8.5 cm. It has few dents. In good condition.

An exceptional Oki-goro Incense Burner in the shape of a dark glazed Catfish by Suwa Sozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Namazu Koro dated the 6th month of Taisho 10 (1921). This would have been placed over a dish in which a burning incense cone would have been placed. It is 48 cm (18-1/2 inches) long, 23 cm (9 inches) tall and appears in excellent condition...
A Thai polychrome enamel decorated stoneware offering dish. Similar porcelains were made in China for the Thai market. Primitively painted decoration in yellow, green white, red and blue enamels. It is not clear to us whether this is imported production or domestic production. Two Chinese characters appear within rectangular, impressed seal mark on the base. Diameter, about 9 1/8 inches. Height, about 3 5/8 inches.

This table decoration has a JLR script monogram, it is stamped with the Roden sterling mark and it weighs 21.9 grams. It is in good condition with no corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than two dents and some slight out-of-roundedness. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use...
This ancient Egyptian Scarab for Tuthmosis III is more than 3,000 years old. It's from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 9/16” long (14 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.
