Classic Olmec los Bocas figure. 1200 B.C.E. -500 B.C.E. this excellently crafted figure has faint traces of red pigment with mineral deposits. He (no breasts, or sexual elements) is wearing a helmet or headdress, with what appears to be some form of jewelry over his nose or upper lip. this piece is all intact with no visible repairs, small amount of normal chipping around nose and feet. Many years ago I put this piece into auction with Arte Primitivo...

a fine collection of 9 gold nose rings collected in the 1930's in central America by the grandfather of a Santa Fe collector, most are believed to be from Columbia. The pieces range in size from 1 3/8 inches to 1/4 of an inch. All appear to be high KT. wt. gold

A superb and extremely large Chaffers Liverpool porcelain tankard with a slightly spreading base. Beautifully painted with a large bouquet of flowers on the side opposite the strapped handle, with 4 sprigs of different flowers placed, at a distance, at each of the four corners of the central painting, near where the handle joins the body of the piece.

The tankard is 5 5/8" tall, with a top diameter of 3 5/8" and a bottom diameter of 3 3/4"...

Height approximately 24.5 cm (including the stand). Few soft dents at the body. In good condition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 3 3/4 inches and the cup is 1 7/8 inches high. The saucer is deep and does not have a well. The cup has an art nouveau style handle. Both pieces have bands of tiny hand painted roses and delicate gilding around the rims. Antique Chinese silken robe in a deep navy color adorned with blue butterflies, blue flowers with forbidden stitching, and rolling waves along the bottom. The sleeves are white silk with embroidery depicting flora and architecture in shades of blue, surrounded by gold stitching, with a beautiful robed woman carrying a fan. Beautiful Japanese antique 2-section isho tansu (clothing chest) from the Nihonmatsu area of Japan, made with nice keyaki (elm) wood on drawer fronts, safe box in lower right hand corner opens to two small interior drawers, there is a key for the safe, lovely iron hardware includes large warabite shaped drawer pulls with separate small butterfly details, Meiji Period. Size: 45 3/4" x 43" wide x 17 3/4" deep.

Woodblock print by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Utagawe Hiroshige (1797-1858). The streets are bustling with activity as we see a gentleman who wears a top hat being pulled along in a handcart, a woman in a kimono shading herself with a parasol, and other characters. There are sakura trees blossoming around a flagpole, a communal well, and a beautiful view of the sun rising beyond Mt. Fuji in the distance. Wooden carving of Daruma or Bodhidharma, a Buddhist monk who lived in the 5th or 6th century CE. He is depicted as ill-tempered and is shown here with a deep frown as he meditates. This Daruma carving is painted with red, bronze, and gold lacquer paint and appears to have once been mounted as the top and bottom have holes carved into them and a metal rod going through it to be affixed to a structure, most likely a lamp. Meiji period 19th century. Size: 13" height, 11" length

Antique wooden carving, that once served as decoration to the front of an Burmese ox cart, depicting a being called a 'kinnaya' from Buddhist and Hindu mythology. Kinnaya are half-bird and half-human celestial musicians. Buddhists believe that Buddha was incarnate as a kinnaya four times in his existence. 19th century- Has stand. A rare pair of apple green glazed candle holders designed by William Howson Taylor and made at the Ruskin Pottery works in Smethwick, near Birmingham, West Midlands, UK. Both candlesticks have an impressed 1908 datemark to the base. Condition: excellent - no damages and no repairs. 16cm (6.3 inches) high; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) diameter at the base.
