An antique Japanese Nagoya Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) in 2 sections made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. All original bronze hardware. A fine, small ginbari cloisonne vase with pale blue, silver background and peonies decoration; one panel with pale purple background and bird, bamboo and flowers decoration; and another panel with blue background and flowers decoration. Impressed artist's mark on the metal base. Meiji period (1868 - 1912). Good condition with tiny, oxidized pinholes in the enamel surface from the firing (not detracting from condition or presentation). Height, 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm)
This Olmec translucent jade figure is 1 7/8" long. The bottom was broken off in antiquity which allows one to peer into its ancient patina and jade composition and also keeps the price affordable. The drill hole is original which is important as it is the best place to look at for authenticity. I had a jeweler install a modern 14K gold loop so I could wear it. It has excellent provenance which goes to the buyer.

Distorted half cylinder shaped kutsugata tea bowl of light, unrefined Mino clay.
The expertly thrown body, heavily trimmed with a potters knife (hera) is covered with the typical, glossy black iron oxid glaze inside and outside. Obviously due to a lack of manganese here it is more a dark brown, which is rare to find on Oribe chawans...
Jarlet or bottle, with two ring handles, carved footring with dropped base, celadon glaze on brownish body. Traces of soil encrustations in some areas. Thailand, Sawankhalok kilns, ca. 14th to mid-16th centuries. Height: 4 1/2" (11,2 cm). Very good condition.

Antique Japanese lady's kimono made with grey-green chirimen silk and white silk jacquard with orange and green embroidery of bamboo and plum blossoms with cranes. Details in wrapped gold thread and use of tiny shibori technique in the leaves and flowers. The front hem of the kimono is decorated with a delicate design of plum blossom in resist and white silk embroidery. The kimono interior is lined with red silk.
