A lovely burial gift, this glazed and painted pottery offering table. The dishes with food and other objects are fixed to the table. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Condition: repairs to the legs, age wear to the glaze and painting. W. 22,5 cm, D. 16 cm, H. 22,5 cm. TL test from Kotalla included.
Square-shaped ivory netsuke manju depicting four lacquered frogs in different positions.
It has a cavity inside where the himotoshi hole is located.

DESCRIPTION: Antique embossed copper double picture frame featuring a heart at the center crown and foliate leaves at the corners. DIMENSIONS: 7 1/2" H X 9 1/2" W. PROVENANCE: From the private estate of a Peruvian gentleman; Houston, Texas.
A charming Chinese antique wicker suitcase. The top locks with three iron flaps. There are interesting remnants of an old wax seal. Interior is lined in orange and yellow paper with diamond patterns.

The winged scarab was also a common motif on mummy masks and coffins, representing rebirth. Along with the 4 Sons of Horus, it too would have been placed on the beaded netting, usually placed over the heart.

This is a rather attractive map of China, Japan (Nipon) and Korea (Corea). Japan is still shown rather miss-shaped, and Korea to a lesser extent. The Great Wall is shown...
Folk Art Duck Decoy hand carved from wood with yellow eye created from a thumb tack, 19th century. The bird is painted black with white highlights and a grey beak. It has a leather strap on the base for pulling the decoy in the water.
CONDITION: signs of wear on leather and on the base. The yellow thumb tack is probably a later replacement.

A Chinese gourd shaped water dropper in the form of a tiny tea pot with a hinged lid, cast with motifs of scrolling vines in low relief, with a long, prominent spout, with tripod feet. The base is imprinted with a foliate motif. With original patina.

A pair of cobalt blue glazed Sake cups with hexagonal notched rims. Each cup is decorated in gilt with a pair of Hollander figures preforming martial exercises with Halberds. The cups date to around 1780 and the Meiwa era.
The cups measure 7.5cm or 3 inches in diameter, and stand 5cm or 2 inches high, and are in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration, save for one minute rim frit to one of the cups.

Chinese canton enamel box with slightly domed lid. The sides and top finely painted with scholars in landscape setting in famille rose palette. Interior with turquoise enamel. Condition: good - considering the delicate nature of enamel, rim of box with two very small retouchings and and sides of lid with three tiny enamel losses and few stress lines. Dimension: diameter: 10.2 cm, 6 cm high.
Lovely terracotta lamp of the Loeschcke VIII and with a fine depiction of Eros holding the arms of Mars, below on the base is an inscription as a mark of the workshop.
Size: 10,4cm.
Condition: Good Very Fine, completely intact with a little earthern deposits in the devices.
Provenance: Bärbel Kasper collection, Germany since 1950.
Height approximately 16.3 cm. In good condition.
