This stunning miniature Colima warrior is 1 1/2" tall. It is from the estate of the late Lynn Langdon. This is a bronze dagger from the Bactrian culture dating to roughly 2000-2500 BC. It is a fine, intact example of ancient bronze weaponry. It measures 173 mm in length and weighs 57 grams. The metal is solid and stable with an "as found" patina. This is a quality weapon at a reasonable price.

Measuring 3" in height, this cast bronze ceremonial knife dates to the period from 700-1000AD, and is from the South Coast of Peru. The upper border consists of a serpent bodied creature with fanged heads at both ends, each wearing a spiked crown. Deeply incised deity heads appear in profile at the top of each side of the blade. The piece has acquired a beautiful blue-green patina. An intact suspension loop is visible at the top,as shown in the photos.

Beautiful small wooden jizai, or pothook. This type is called Daikoku, after the shape of Daikoku’s hat. These hangers were suspended with a rope from a heavy beam, over the sunken hearth. From the hanger an adjustable hook was hung that held the kettle. Good piece of mingei.
Zelkova wood with rests of smut, especially in the grooves.
Japan, 19th century.
H 9.5; w 9.25; 2.75 inches.
Slight traces of usage, very good condition.
