관제 (寬齊), 이도영(李道榮-1884-1934): “An Autumn Deep Mountain Landscape” Scroll Painting, pen name,관제(寬齊)/artist’s name,이도영(李道榮) and two seals,寬齊/李道榮. Painted in ink and color on silk, mountain village with a scholar’s crossing a bridge toward home. It’s in fine condition, measures 44.5” h. x 13” d. (113cm x 33cm) painting only, or 81 1/4" x 17 1/4" overall.

Chinese hardwood altar table, made of solid elm wood with its original red lacquer finish. Carved with dramatic scrolling legs on elevated feet. Five panel carvings in front depict various scenes with auspicious elements, dragon carvings in archaic style, the underside with scalloped edges. The altar style edges curl upwards in a scrolling fashion, with reticulated carvings of dragons below either side.

This crystal decanter was produced in the United States in the late 19th century. It is not marked, therefore we are unable to precisely identify the manufacturer. It is evident in the fine quality that it was produced by a respected company. The decanter is 8 1/2 inches high. The diameter of the base is 4 1/4 inches. The decanter has an interesting shape in that it bulges out and pulls in below the handle. The cutting is very fine with intricate designs...

An elaborately inlaid three drawer marquetry cabinet, unusually, with tambour doors. This item was made in Japan, for export, during the late 19th or early 20th century. In very good used condition; there is one small piece of veneer missing from the top back corner of the right side; no further losses, no restoration and no alterations. 23 cm (9 inches) high; 24.5 cm (9.5 inches) high.

Chinese Export Blue and White Porcelain Canton design covered deep serving Tureen or Dish, Ca. 1800-1820, 5 1/2" high, 9 1/4" x 8 1/4" wide, with cut corner shape, Pine Cone knob on top, very nice soft underglaze blue decorated with Pavillion on lakeside, Sampan floating next to bridge, willow tree and pagoda on the other side of the lake. 18th century off-gray Chinese translucent jade plaque to be sawn onto clothes with pierced and carved design of the Three Friends of Winter - pine, prunus and bamboo - celebrated for the fact that they do not wither as the cold days deepen into the winter season unlike many other plants. Very good work, in great condition. Diameter 1.58 inches, weight 8.1 grams.

A very nice lacquered papier-mache tabletop box, the cover with colorful Chinoiserie scene. The decoration depicts a noble lady and gentlemen being entertained by a troop of magicians in their garden. While two of the magicians look on, the third is juggling four balls. This is a very whimsical design that makes this box really special. The hinged lid has a lock (alas, the key is long gone)...
