Elaborately incised with Islamic inscriptions and arabesques within three cartouches wrapping the body. The base is flat and unmarked. The was raised from heavy sheet silver with the hammer marks being clearly visible on the interior. The exterior has a soft polish with a few areas of old tarnish / oxidation. As would be expected, there are no silver markings, but it is probably in the low 900s...
Antique Japanese single-section small Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest). Made with Hinoki (Japanese Cypress) wood frame and Sugi (Cryptomeria) wood sides and interior. Sliding panels covering the top and bottom compartments are made with Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. A compartment in the upper portion of the tansu has sliders with stripy Kaki (Persimmon) wood and glass that showcases a stepped interior shelf for display. Just beside this, on the right, is a drop-in panel with matching Persimmon wood...

Beautiful antique Chinese porcelain pair of roosters with polychrome glaze. Very nice incised detail. Created in a naturalistic style. Each rooster stands on one foot with the other raised close to its body atop a brown glazed tree trunk.

The tripod leg often is referring to the ding where it was thought that these vessels were used to serve wine. Has a Kanji charactor on base that can be translated to men "to offer". This apron is from the Huan Xi area and was part of the traditional Miao ethnic minority woman's festival costume. Made from home spun fibers,indigo dyed yarn, it is embroidered with tiny intricate cross stitch geometric design...the ties are also hand woven. The apron measures approx 17 x 17 inches and is in good condition...with a few very light stains which do not show on photo with enhancing...
The design of butterflies and melons is seldom encountered on Chinese porcelain, found only on a few Qianlong pieces. This shaped dish I feel is from the early 19th century but the ‘orange peel’ surface of the porcelain is often found on Qianlong export pieces. Like the Qianlong painted melons these have a pronounced ‘spotting’ in either famille rose or gold enamel on the fruits.
