The sides are molded in high relief with two scenes from a traditional Chinese story. It comes with a jadeite stopper.

A beautiful FEDERAL PERIOD GILT WOOD CARVED EAGLE 14” x 18” The Eagle perhaps was the top for a piece of furniture. Original black paint and the Eagle gessoed and gilded
A Tibetan bronze flaying knife or chopper with a curved steel blade used in rituals by Buddhist Vajrayana priests. The flayer was a symbolic instrument and never used to really chop or flay people. Hence, the blade is dull. The blade has oxidized on both sides and there is some verdigris inside the top of the handle. Measures 6.75 inches x 7" high. Dates 1800's.
Height approximately 12.3 cm included the lid. The lips have chipped glaze. In good condition.
Chinese Qing dynasty rounded diamond form four-footed Straits porcelain narcissus dish decorated on the sides in underglaze blue on a white ground with four “shuangxi” symbols (representing double-happiness and wedded bliss) surrounded by a stylized pattern of pencil style scrolling sweet pea vines (symbolizing “many children”). The undecorated interior was intended to hold pebbles or dirt in which plants or bulbs could be grown. The flat rim holds a geometric band...
Kyushu hard porcelain teapot, kutani style arita kiln. Decor in polychrome enamels and gilding. Symbols of longevity, cranes, turtles and the famous couple of legendary old lovers, Jô and Uba. The old man holds his traditional broom in his hand.

Small ovoid vase with short neck; lugs on two sides of the neck. Rich brown iron glaze over a gray-beige colored ceramic body, leaving the lower 1/3 part free.
Sawankhalok ware from Sukhothai, 15th -16th century. Or possibly Chinese, Jian yao, Song dynasty, 12th – 13th century

Pair Japanese Solid Bronze Models of elephants. Each boldly cast in the form of an elephant, applied two tusks. Very heavy.
Mother elephant signed “せいや製 Seiya Sei”, child elephant signed “光元 Kou Yen”.

An antique Japanese bamboo Ikebana basket reminiscent of an outdoor garden fence. Bicolor bamboo strips in an open weave design. The handle is intertwined with young and old mature bamboo symbolizing a family's support over many generations. The old bamboo has segmented root nodes often referred to as Eyes. A lovely Japanese painting on paper of two men observing the moon. This scroll was sold on consignment by a Japanese dealer named Sakura. According to Sakura and in his opinion, this painting would date from 1800-1849, and is in fair to good condition. All genuine antique scrolls will show signs of wear and discoloration and in some cases damp staining. The painting appears to be salvaged and remounted at least 20 years ago. From our Shipwreck Ceramics Collection, a charming blanc de chine Guanyin from the Vung Tau Shipwreck circa 1690-1700 (Kangxi Period), one of only 30 ever recovered from this wreck and in this sense quite rare. The Vung Tau Shipwreck refers to a cargo ship of Chinese ceramics that sank in the waters of the Can Doa Islands, nearby to Vung Tao Vietnam between 1690 and 1700, where it had briefly stopped to re-supply on its way to Batavia (Jakarta Indonesia)...
