19th century miniature Hirado porcelain sculpture / brushrest in a shape of a karako (Chinese boy) lying on his stomach with his head and feet raised. Excellent crisp modeling with incised details - see his superb face with inquisitive look, well defined collar and knot on the back. Excellent underglaze blue (see the perfect swirls of his hair knots), brown and black. A pair of nicely patinated Thinbladed Danish neolithic axes dating to the Singlegrave period, 3rd mill BC.

Lot consist of an unpolished, thinbutted type, and polished thickbutted type. But the smaller size indicates, that they were for a specific purpose in Antiquity, probably for precision wood-working.

Comes with old collection tag on the grey axe.

Interesting stoneaxe carved and polished from a finegrained red granite, possible for battleuse, 4th.-3rd. mill. BC.

This thinbutted type is quite scarce especially in the red granite and is likely belonging to the earlier neolithic period. Attempted drilling of a mounting holse at the bacvk as is often seen on the type.

Interesting and typical large specimen of broadbladed silex axes, imitating the celts of the early European bronzeage, made in South East Denmark, during Late Neolithic period, ca. 1800 BC.

The axe unpolished and with visible seams, typical grey-brown Danien silex of Lolland/Falster region and beautiful patina from 4000 years of buriel. Outswayed blade that looks the blade of a bronze celts.
