Here's a pair of Thinbutted Danish Neolithic Axes dating to late 4th mill. BC.

Thinbutted axes were the preferred tool for clearing land, as the Neolithic civilisation came in the need of fields for cultivation.

Both axes in this pair are nice specimens from this development, and have probably contributed to gaining new ground for early Danish agriculture.

The axes measure 14 & 15 cm each, (c. 6 inches) but it is not unlikely that they were larger originally...

A pair of nicely patinated Thinbladed Danish neolithic axes dating to the 3rd mill BC.

Lot consist two almost completely polished axes. One is nearly perfectly symetrical, the other is an adze with a hollow-shaped edge.

Comes with old collection tag on the hollow-edged axe and finding place 'Køng' on the symetrical.

A pair of rare thin-bladed Danish Danish neolithic axes dating to 3rd mill BC.

Both axes have long, slim blades and sharp edges, almost like chisels but they are axes.

One axe is fully polished on the sides, the other is unpolished. Comes with old collection tag, and finding places written on the side. (Kirke Stillinge, 1938, and Moen)

Victorian Scottish Mauchlineware Pencil Box Rare mauchline ware pencil box featuring transfers of two different scenes. The lid is decorated with a scene entitled “London Bridge & Cannon St. Station” and the body scene is entitled “Lambeth Palace”. Both transfers are very crisp and detailed. English scenes are much less common than images of Scotland. This piece is also larger than most pieces of mauchlineware.

Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Stoneware Jar with Spout

This unusual jar was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Apart from the short spout at the shoulder, it is a conventionally-shaped storage jar. The outer surface and inner mouth are coated in a black glaze. The glaze falls just short of the bottom of the jar leaving the concave base unglazed. Likewise, the inner surface also remains unglazed.

This is quite large jar with a height of 22.25cm, diameter 20.5 cm...
