A charming small watercolor on paper painting of a young boy wearing a naval uniform and holding a flute, which is used to pipe the hours. Period bird's eye maple frame with period backboard.,

The painting has even light toning and is in excellent condition, with no folds, tears, or restoration. Sight size is 8 1/8" by 6 1/2", and the framed size is 11 3/8" by 9 3/8".

A beautiful set of three emerald green roemers with cup bowls, applied prunts of the stem, and folded feet and polished pontils. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. The height of each is 4 7/16", with a bowl diameter of 2 1/2" and a foot diameter of 3".

An enamel and gilt clasp, French, cloisonné decoration in the Empire revival style of the 1880’s. Width "2/ 5,5 cm. Condition: a few hardly visible chips to the enamel.

The puppets costume and "figure" are that of a of a medieval matron. Her head is paper mache and is manipulated from inside. Her head has a wide range of motion side to side, extending high with long fabric neck and can be cocked in different directions for added expression. The arms are long reaching and are supported and manipulated by metal rods, one is original and the other has been replaced.

She stands 21 to 22+ inches depending on length of neck extension...

Matching set of art nouveau dresser jar and hair receiver with sterling silver tops. In excellent condition and never monogrammed, they each measure 5" across, 4.75" high. Dates early 20th c. Can be sold separately at $175 each.

These 8 porcelain plates were produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1890s. They measure 9 1/8 inches in diameter. They have a flat rim and are slightly indented in the middle. The plates are made of fine quality porcelain and are quite substantial in weight. The plates feature portraits of different animals in wonderful detail. The painting is so fine that you can see every whisker and strand of fur. The artist captured the true character as naturally as if they were photographed...

These 4 porcelain ramekins with under plates were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges around 1900. The under plates are 4 5/8 inches in diameter and the cups are 3 3/4 inches in diameter. Both pieces have scalloped edges with double gold trim. The cups are molded with ribs giving them a flower shape. A superb pair of true Arts and Crafts stoneware pottery matched ewers in a rich chocolate brown colour, c1880-1900. The upper shoulders or these 7-5/8" ewers or pitchers are in a glossy glaze, and the lower body has a naturalistic matte glaze over a stippled style textured surface topped with a decorative linked band of semicircles.
