An oval and domed porcelain plaque with enamelled flowers in a gilt and Bleu Céleste framework. The ”heavenly blue” colour was a speciality for Sevres in the 18th century and revived in the 19th during the reign of Napoléon III. The gilt flower wreath is tooled, to show the texture of the little flower petals, and the large flower motif is excellently painted. Capodimonte porcelain hinged box in high-relief with hand-painted frolicking cherubs and satyrs with a dark grey horse and on the lid are cherubs playing with a goat. Condition: the front panel has a firing flaw and is indented. On the base is a marked verso with a blue letter N over a crown. It was made in Naples Italy. Six footed little cups, tasses à glace / sorbet or ice cream cups in the model used by Sèvres from c 1750 up till around 1800. Because of their sparse decoration the cups go well with more richly decorated porcelain. Slight variation in the gilt and molding of the handles, and in height: four of the cups "2 ½ / 6.3 cm and two 6.5 cm. All probably from around 1780. Edwardian Neoclassical glass tray with sterling silver gallery. Made by R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. in Wallingford, Conn., ca 1910. Glass is clear with cut star. Gallery is straight with pierced ornament, reeded rim, and cutout tubular handles. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. C1529. Very good condition.

English Modern sterling silver cigar box, 1919. Rectangular with plain straight sides. Cover hinged with tapering tab; top gently curved with engine-turned wave ornament bordered by fretwork, and centrally mounted gold ring inset with word “CIGARS”. Interior cedar lined and partitioned. Underside leather lined.

Fully marked including Birmingham assay stamp and mark for WC Griffiths, a silversmith and retailer. Very good condition.

Large Dutch silver cow creamer, 1910. A sweet beast with stocky body on slender legs and delicate hoofs. Head quizzically turned to side with flexed ears, sharp horns, red cabochon glass eyes, and gaping mouth spout. Flicked back tail handle and hinged back cover. Appears to be unmarked. Very good condition.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality under glaze crossed swords markings. The saucer measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall without the handle. The cup has an empire style handle that is swan shaped. The ground color is lemon yellow. There is an elaborate gilded cartouche on the front of the cup containing a Watteau scene. An 18th century couple is sitting in a wooded landscape...

Signed, Wm. S. Morgan, Somerset Co, 1872, this woven wool coverlet was made in Somerset County in Jenner Township, Pennsylvania. In 1870, the factory employed ten workers and produced a variety of woolen goods, including blankets and coverlets. Condition is good, but does have some damage, please study photos. Measures 66" x 72".

This antique custom made two-person saddle is exquisite and the craftsmanship is finely executed, with the metal work and incising of the brass and silver, over a wood frame with iron supports. A pair of Qing Dynasty Chinese blue and white deep plates from the 1730-1795 era, or possibly earlier. These rare ~9" across survivors are hand painted in blue on a grey ground, and they have the brown Batavian edge glaze. These Qianlong plates are 1-1/4" deep and they have the expected glaze frit, tiny glaze burns, pitting and flaws except for a 1/4" upper rim chip and central burst bubble central glaze flake on one bowl and a 1/4" chip under the rim on the other. Another fine example from our personal collection of animal hooked rugs, this one featuring an elephant posed on grass with fruited tree branches descending from the top of the rug.

The rug has a felt border, easily detached if so desired. The condition is excellent, with good colors and some slight scattered wear to the border. The size is 40" by 30".
