A very nicely painted Pratt Ware cottage decorated with a blue tiled roof, children at the windows with an oversize female standing beside it. On one end of the cottage is a woman with a cornucopia (?) and on the other a flowering tree. At the back in the roof is a slot for large pennies. The colors are well applied. Similar cottages are illustrated in John and Griselda Lewis Pratt Ware, 2006 edition page 249...

This perfume flask was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. It is unmarked but undoubtably Coalport. The flask has a hinged metal mount. It is 4 3/4 inches long, 2 1/8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. The body of the flask is divided into panels of raised turquoise beads or jewels and panels of ornate raised gilding. Condition: The metal mount is tarnished. There is a bit of wear to gilding. It is in original condition and excellent for its age.

Superb Staffordshire figural group/spill vase portraying a hunter and his lady. The hunter has his rifle, while the lady as his catch in her lap. Beautifully decorated in bright colors, this grouping is as fine as one is likely to see. Origin: England, mid-19th century. Size: 7-5/8" tall; 4-1/4" wide; 2" deep. Condition: excellent, no damage or repairs.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden decorating studio in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. It is a bit larger than a demitasse so I believe it was made for afternoon tea. The set is hand painted with vibrantly colored flowers. Little sprigs dot the interior of the cup. There is lacy gold trim on the rims and gilded accents on the handle. Condition: Excellent

A lobed dinner plate 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter decorated with a sprig of cornflowers (?) in the center of the well surrounded with numerous single red or gilt flowers. The lip is decorated with richly gilt and enamel swags surrounding floral cartouches. The rubbed overglaze “VV” on the back is the mark for the Verneuilh factory. It dates from the 1780’s; possibly 1787 when Vanier entered a contract with the Verneuilhs.

This set of 6 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1890 and 1910. They are marked with first quality blue crossed swords markings. The plates are 8 inches in diameter. There are reticulated borders with three reserve. The centers are hand painted with colorful, realistic fruits of all kinds. They have attracted tiny insects and butterflies. There are flower sprigs or berries in the reserves around the borders. All of the reticulated work is accented with gilding...

This porcelain basket was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. It is marked with an under glaze cobalt blue crown and shield. The basket measures 9 1/4 inches across the handles, 6 1/2 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches deep. It features entwined handles and delicate reticulation. The interior of the basket is beautifully hand painted with colorful flowers. All of the reticulation is outlined in gold inside and out. It is a sweet and fragile reminder of by-gone eras.

Beautiful jasperware wall plaque of a winged lady with a shephard's staff entitled "Pastorale" and signed Stephan Finding and dated 1886. It has very high relief, and the detail is exquisite. This beautiful plaque is one of a pair. The other is also on this web site. They each measure 13" tall x 8" wide in the frame, and 10 1/2" tall x 6" wide without. They are in wonderful condition. They are each priced individually.

This is a Limoges cabinet plate, ca. 1890, bearing the Limoges mark of the Coiffe porcelain factory as well as that of Guerin-Pouyat-Elite; featuring molded borders in pale pink within gilt rims and centered with a delicately handpainted spray of lilacs; condition: excellent, no chips, cracks, or crazing; gilt on rims is faded; measurement: 9 inches diam.

Four(4) Lenox Porcelain Bread and Butter Plates, Ca. 1910, 5 1/4" diameter, 3/8" high, etched brilliant gold and Cobalt Blue rim, green mark "Lenox" "Bailey Banks & Biddle Co. Philadelphia" on the bottom. The condition is good.

Pretty late Victorian porcelain child's cup. One side has a polychrome transfer image of a playful dog, while the other shows another dog with a blue ribbon around his neck. The rim and handle are decorated with gilt bands. Porcelain cups such as these were prized by Victorian children. The bottom is marked "Germany".

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Fischern, Bohemia by Carl Knoll in the 1880s. It has the blue under glaze bee hive marking. There is writing in German, “Gesnng u Spiel” or “Singing and Play”. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches. The cup is 3 1/8 inches tall, without the handle with a diameter of 2 3/4 inches.
