A very nice pair of antique hand knit blue and white cotton socks with a initials at the top. I think the initials are WWF. The stockings are knit with three different weight cotton yarn the heaviest is the wonderful true blue that is the foot and ankle where all the wear is and the area where you want the most cushioning. The lighter blue is medium weight and the white is the lightest where you don't want it to bind. The have been used but not abused...

This porcelain tea cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1890s. They are all marked with first quality blue crossed swords under glaze. The plate measures 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/8 inches. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. Each piece has cartouches containing brilliantly colored, hand painted flowers. They are framed with elaborate hand gilding...

A very good fruit bouquet paperweight by the New England Glass Company. Four pears alternate with cherries and foliage around a central pear. The lampwork fruit is particularly nice in this weight. The bouquet is presented against a spiraling double latticinio basket. The dome is high and offers nice magnification. The crystal is a bit sugary, as is typical of many NEGC weights. The concave base has a wide basal ring.

A New Hall coffee can and saucer bowl, c 1810. Blue underglaze and gilt decoration of Persian (Paisley) flowers against a "seaweed" pattern typical of the period. Unmarked, but the pattern is registered as number 585 in the production of the New Hall factory. Height of can "2¼/ 6 cm, diameter of saucer bowl "5½/ 14 cm. Condition: a hairline and wear to the gilt, esp. of the can, otherwise fine.

This shaving box is a truly wonderful and unusual piece of Americana, and was used to hold and sharpen razors. It was not a common household object, and not many survived from the 18th century. Nina Fletcher Little discusses these charming boxes in her book, Neat and Tidy, and shows a similar example. The work, done in oil on academy board, shows a woman with a sleeping child in the foreground, while in the central distance can be seen a group of building, above which are a richly colored sky and clouds. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany, especially for Charles Ahrenfeldt and exported with the name Saxonia. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The porcelain has designs molded into it. There is a scene on the front of the cup of lovers in a garden. It is surrounded by ornate gilding. There are numerous sprigs of flowers strewn about on both pieces...

This is a large, signed Crown Milano glass jar/jardiniere made by Mt Washington. It is an exceptionally large jar: it is 10 3/4 inches wide and 8 1/4 inches high. The jar is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs (there is some expected, age-appropriate fading to the paint). It is signed in its polished pontil.

An interesting blue and white hand pained porcelain plate of two scholars(?) greeting each other and a boy carrying a load in front of water with a rising moon in the far distance. There is an elaborate border including scholar’s roles on the side of the well between the rim and the center and at the outside of the rim leaf and flower border.
