This is because by 1915, the watch was retired to storage and the chain “discarded”, thrown away, or women converted them to bracelets. A very nice Victorian inkwell in peacock blue glass. The front side is engraved with an ornate floral pattern. The lid has lapidary cutting around the edges and is engraved with the image of a dove in mid-flight and carrying a letter in its beak. Certainly, the suggestion is of a lovebird delivering a sentimental note! The lid is mounted with a brass hinge.

Origin: America, ca. 1860. Condition: excellent, a small flake under the bottom. Size: 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” x 3-1/16” tall.

Rare Jennings Brothers inkwell set with an elaborate hunt scene on the cover that opens to show a beautiful hound's head on the inkwell cap. Also inside are 2 racks for holding reservoir fountain pens and a lovely perpetual calendar made of ivorine. The interior is lined with a reddish brown bakelite. Lovely Victorian walnut wall clock with lady's head on top. It works beautifully and has a second hand. I cannot take the clock out of the case as I'm afraid to do damage to it, so I can't see any makers marks. It measures 48" long x 14" wide x 6 1/2" deep.

Rare ceremonial rice cutter from the Karen people (this particular one is from Northern Thailand). This knife would only be used on the first cutting of the season and as with most all of the rice cultivators in Asia there is a great deal of ritual and importance given to this act, regardless of the religion i.e. Buddhist, animist, Hindu etc. The animal bone handle has a wonderful original patina and the blade is still quite sharp. Offered for sale is a hard to find, turn-of-the-century, apothecary pharmacy bottle that stands 7.5 inches tall. The stopper is embossed with a large "W" signifying WRIGHT's Patent.

Panther Dress Cane-Ca. 1910-A stylized silver panther handle with unreadable hallmarks, exotic hardwood shaft and a metal ferrule-H. 5” x 4 ½”, O.L. 35”.

Exhibited, is a fine European antique cane with an incredible carved horn handle in form of a dog's head, close attention to every details, bronze pommel and ferrule. Size: The carved handle measures 3.5 inches long and overall length of the cane is 31 inches long. The first club, dating to 1925, has "TED RAY SEVENTY-TWO" "LADIES - SPECIAL - HAND FORGED and PUTTER" stamped on the back of the face. This WILSON-made club measures 33" from the heel to the top of the shaft and appears minimally used. The sturdy hickory shaft has a mild bend from front to back on the lower shaft. A nice early transition type of a later design that became popular in the 18th. century. Very elaborate and finely cast and with a nice colour.

This is a graphic pin cushion from the 1860's in brown, blue and tan star pattern. The back is a egg wash blue linen. It has a nice blue velvet saw tooth edge that goes around the middle of the cushion. It is all hand sewn, a real work of art. It is worn but mellow and nice. It is 8" diameter and is 4" high. A nice surviving example of a Civil War era pin cushion.

A very rare cast iron fireplace tool set with caddy includes tongs, poker, and shovel. The caddy in enameled in black over a white primer, a clue to help dating of the set. The caddy is formed of rectilinear lines with a bird with large plumes in the center. Each of the tools has a ring for either grabbing or hanging. This is a great carved bone frog stick. The frog features wonderful details and glass eyes. The stick measures 35" x 4 1/4" x 1" overall. The handle itself is 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 1". The collar is 1/4" and the ferrule is 1 1/2".

Offered is this very scarce and quite early, circa 1890s, James and David Kinnell, Smooth Face Hickory Shaft Golf Club made in Scotland. Although smooth face golf clubs fell out of fashion by the very early 1900s, they were still offered in catalogues for a number of years beyond this date.

This smooth face club is stamped on the back "PRESTWICK KK CLUBS". The leather grip is in good condition, and the straight hickory shaft sports a nice aged patina.

This is a lovely ivory rabbit walking stick. He has brown glass eyes and a gold plate collar. Very nice carving detail on his face with the fur and whiskers. He also wears a carved bow tie at the base of his neck. This stick measures 36" x 4.5" x 1". The handle/head measures 1.75" x 4.5" x 1". The collar measures .75" and the ferrule 1".

The ultimate in men’s accessories is this 14Kt white gold pen knife from the early twentieth century. It was originally used on watch chains as a functional fob. The knife has two folding blades one of which is a knife blade and the other is a nail file/ pick. On the front there is a diamond shaped 14Kt yellow gold plaque, hand-engraved with the initials H.D. The length of the knife is 2 3/8” including the fold down bail, and the width is 7/16”.
