The advertising card measures 2.75 inches x 4.50 inches and is entitled "Photography Under a Cloud". It features a fabulous litho of 5 African-American boys with exaggerated facial features who are attempting to take a photograph using an early camera. The litho is marked in the lower right corner "Bufford, Boston"...

Impressive handcrafted sterling silver and turquoise cufflinks designed and signed (c.1950)by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-1986). Each link measures 1 1/2" X 1". Comprised of heavy gauge silver with applied beading and centered with a bezel set diamond shaped turquoise stone. Aguilar designs can be seen in museum collections around the world. He was well represented in the recent exhibition WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE.

Handcrafted sterling silver pin designed and signed (c.1950) by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. 1 1/2" diameter. The monkey design is most likely taken from primitive clay seals that were part of early Mayan or Pre Columbian culture. The shadow box cutout of the monkey gives the piece an attractive dimension. No dents or dings, pin back and safety lock works perfectly. Hallmarks include the Antonio crown, Hecho En Mexico, 970 for silver content.

An antique cast bronze waniguchi bell or gong, the type used to hang in front of places of prayer and under temple eaves dated 1710. Often these can be found hanging over saisen-bako where the bell is rung by clanging a dangling rope with wooden corbel against the bell to awaken the gods; coins are tossed and a prayer given. Anyone who has been to a Japanese Temple or Shrine may have noticed one. A much thinner cast than the later bell we are offering

A rare, large and beautifully carved scholar's item made of huanghuali and carved with flower vases and a censer as the center piece, with the original hardware.The outer frame could be huanghuali or huali. It is unusual to find these wall decorations in huanghuali. Size: L. 86cm. W. 35cm Age: Late Ming, early Ching piece. Condition: No repairs. A Victorian 14k amethyst and seed pearls brooch from the 1890s. This lovely late Victorian 1-1/8 x 7/8" brooch features a large natural facetted bezel-set amethyst stone surrounded by a circle of seed pearls. It has a safety catch and a 14K mark plus a maker's mark (and etched identification number). It weighs 5.8 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This charming doll is wonderfully detailed. She is all cloth with embroidered face features, beaded necklace and matching headband and thread hair. She is wearing a long under slip. Her dress is has multiple layers of gathered bands of fabric, and is topped with a full length apron which ties in the back.

Held in a private collection for the past 20+ years, she is in excellent condition and stands over 15" high.

An extremely rare pair of original 18th century elm wood lacquered folding chairs. All the parts are original including the original lacquer. Only replacements were the hardware in the folding joints as the originals had rusted out. The back panel has an open- work floral design with a cloud design on the upper and lower panels. Good pair of Late Ming Chongzhen - Tianqi blue and white dragon stem cup, rounded side with high foot and unglazed base, stem cup decorated with under glaze blue of dragon motif chasing a flaming pearl surrounding with cloud motif. stem cup recovered from a shipwreck in Riau islands, same location with Hatcher shipwreck, found in a sealed storage jar.
Both stem cup is in very good condition good glaze, no chip, no crack no restoration.

A very rare sample big shard of Yuan dynasty molded and applied decoration square jar, molded beaded elements applied on the body in ruyi clouds motif, on the top there is molded and applied dragon motif around the rim, this very rare sample is excavated from east Java, very good for reference, comparison and studying.

This is a very beautiful multi-colour Peking glass vase representing longevity. Starting from the cover, the finial is in the form of a close lotus bud in cobalt blue. Surrounding it are butterflies inter-twaining with the clouds. On the body of the vase, it is represented by a collar of ruyi around the mouth of the vase, in cobalt blue colour. Below the ruyi is a ring of cloud also in cobalt blue colour...

An early 18th Century plate decorated in underglaze blue depicting a lady and a boy in a river landscape. This item was made for export to Europe (circa 1730 - 1750) during the reign of either the Yongzheng or the Qianlong emperor. Condition - there is a faint 3cm (1.2 inch) hairline running from the rim. No chips and no restoration. 23cm (9 inch) diameter.

A Qajar style Persian enamel bowl and stand probably made in Iran during the early 20th Century - circa 1900 - 1950. Well handcrafted knuckle to knuckle power finger bezel set 2 1/4" golden picture jasper ring signed in script: Sterling & JG. Scenic jasper reminding one of Owyhee Rocky Butte or Cripple Creek in origin. The lovely landscape scene shows a soft green tree horizon, behind that ochre color trees and the foreground rocky beds. Greenwich Flint-Craft Decanter in extreme bottle shape designed by Tom Connally. This is shape number 1163, which came in three sizes 14, 17 and 19 inches, this is the largest at 19 inches. This authentic pair of Tiffany & Company Jazz earrings is music to the ears. These impressive shoulder dusters are platinum with twelve brilliant cut diamonds and two round sapphires. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 1 full carat and the approximate weight of the two sapphires is .70 carats. The earrings measure just under an inch long.

This is a wonderful pair of 14Kt yellow gold Victorian Etruscan earrings. The top of each earring is set with a small diamond, the bottom has an emerald and a 4mm cultured pearl. The earrings have posts and the total length is 1 1/16”.

A pair of mythical animals (mother and child) of a creamy jade color. It has small areas of natural brown, light orange and grey coloration and inclusions. The jade is beautifully carved and feels lovely to the touch. The curled tail of the smaller animal forms a round hole which enables a thin rope to be put through it. Absolutely endearing.
