Impressive handcrafted sterling silver and turquoise cufflinks designed and signed (c.1950)by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-1986). Each link measures 1 1/2" X 1". Comprised of heavy gauge silver with applied beading and centered with a bezel set diamond shaped turquoise stone. Aguilar designs can be seen in museum collections around the world. He was well represented in the recent exhibition WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE.

Handcrafted sterling silver pin designed and signed (c.1950) by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. 1 1/2" diameter. The monkey design is most likely taken from primitive clay seals that were part of early Mayan or Pre Columbian culture. The shadow box cutout of the monkey gives the piece an attractive dimension. No dents or dings, pin back and safety lock works perfectly. Hallmarks include the Antonio crown, Hecho En Mexico, 970 for silver content.

An antique cast bronze waniguchi bell or gong, the type used to hang in front of places of prayer and under temple eaves dated 1710. Often these can be found hanging over saisen-bako where the bell is rung by clanging a dangling rope with wooden corbel against the bell to awaken the gods; coins are tossed and a prayer given. A Victorian 14k amethyst and seed pearls brooch from the 1890s. This lovely late Victorian 1-1/8 x 7/8" brooch features a large natural facetted bezel-set amethyst stone surrounded by a circle of seed pearls. This charming doll is wonderfully detailed. She is all cloth with embroidered face features, beaded necklace and matching headband and thread hair. She is wearing a long under slip. Her dress is has multiple layers of gathered bands of fabric, and is topped with a full length apron which ties in the back.

Held in a private collection for the past 20+ years, she is in excellent condition and stands over 15" high.

An extremely rare pair of original 18th century elm wood lacquered folding chairs. All the parts are original including the original lacquer. Good pair of Late Ming Chongzhen - Tianqi blue and white dragon stem cup, rounded side with high foot and unglazed base, stem cup decorated with under glaze blue of dragon motif chasing a flaming pearl surrounding with cloud motif. stem cup recovered from a shipwreck in Riau islands, same location with Hatcher shipwreck, found in a sealed storage jar.
Both stem cup is in very good condition good glaze, no chip, no crack no restoration.

This is a very beautiful multi-colour Peking glass vase representing longevity. Starting from the cover, the finial is in the form of a close lotus bud in cobalt blue. Surrounding it are butterflies inter-twaining with the clouds. On the body of the vase, it is represented by a collar of ruyi around the mouth of the vase, in cobalt blue colour. Greenwich Flint-Craft Decanter in extreme bottle shape designed by Tom Connally. This is shape number 1163, which came in three sizes 14, 17 and 19 inches, this is the largest at 19 inches. This authentic pair of Tiffany & Company Jazz earrings is music to the ears. These impressive shoulder dusters are platinum with twelve brilliant cut diamonds and two round sapphires. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 1 full carat and the approximate weight of the two sapphires is .70 carats. The earrings measure just under an inch long.

This is a wonderful pair of 14Kt yellow gold Victorian Etruscan earrings. The top of each earring is set with a small diamond, the bottom has an emerald and a 4mm cultured pearl. The earrings have posts and the total length is 1 1/16”.

A pair of mythical animals (mother and child) of a creamy jade color. It has small areas of natural brown, light orange and grey coloration and inclusions. The jade is beautifully carved and feels lovely to the touch. The curled tail of the smaller animal forms a round hole which enables a thin rope to be put through it. Absolutely endearing. This Tibetan gau (aka prayer box) is actually a small shrine. When not being worn as an ornament during festivals, it would be kept in the prayer niche of the family home. Description:

An old stone box was beautifully carved on the cover with a five-clawed swirling Dragon and with cloud pattern at the basin.
By a well rendered craftsmanship, the covered box was in a magnificent mood by its astonishing image.
Kept in perfect condition and darken patina, there’re only minor defects found at the whiskeys and at one of the corners of the cover.

Striking handmade sterling silver necklace and detachable pin designed and signed (c. 1940's) by Taxco, Mexico artist Los Castillo. The center section measures 3" long x 3" wide. The detachable chains give the necklace a wearable length of 16 1/2". Excellent vintage condition with no dents or dings. The clasp, necklace chains and pin back all work perfectly.

Very dramatic deeply concave oval shaped African shield from Ethiopia. The animal hide is scraped free of hair and then placed over a shaped board with protrusions which will allow for greater protection in warding off blows. The edge is tightly rolled and there are added tool marks for heightened decoration. The handle is tied and knotted into place at a slight angle to allow for a more comfortable hold.

This is a superb sterling and Lone Mountain turquoise ring by Santo Domingo Pueblo artist Julian Lovato. He began working in 1938 and was a silversmith for Frank Patania Sr.in the Thunderbird Shop. He has won several awards for his outstanding creations. This ring is a size 13 ,weighs 28 grams and is in fine original condition. The magnificent stone alone measures 7/8" long and 5/8" wide. Signed as shown. This is a museum quality piece.

Description: A boxwood ruler was preserved very well when edges were smoothened off due to long time of use. What interestingly found were picturesque motifs like plum flowers and magpies were carved on both surfaces along with the regular counting marks. Date: Qing Dynasty(late 19th century.) Description: A porcelain snuff bottle was beautifully painted on the surface with insect of grasshopper in the weeds. On the other side, a well-rhythmed poem was finely written to depict the picture.
