This elaborately worked bracelet, done by hand, was made by Maciel Silver Factory of Mexico, c.1950’s. It is marked “925/1000," "MACIEL" (maker's mark), "STERLING MADE IN MEXICO” (see pictures). The central, convex, Aztec god oval measures 1 3/4” x 1 1/4” while the cuff with the eagle warrior masks measures 1 3/8”. This piece is in excellent condition.

Alovely Brooch by the famous Taxco Silver Artist Hector Aguilar features two stylized flower blossoms along with a curved leaf on curving stems. Crafted in Aguilars favored 940 silver which give the silver a lovely rich patina. It measures 3" wide by 3 1/2" long and weigh 18.6 grams. Hallmarked Taxco, HA, 940. Light age related wear and tarnish a secure pin clasp. A lovely piece.

The design of this sterling silver link bracelet has a substantial look and feel. It is composed of sturdy cast openwork oval panels with stylized scrolls and swirls reminiscent of mid-20th century Nordic styles. Matching the brooch of the same design that it also available here (you can see the two pieces together in one of the photos here) this Los Castillo Mexican silver and copper ring is a rather rare find and I am happy to have come upon it. A Celtic sterling and enamel hammered sash pin brooch from 1946. This 2-1/8 x 2" fully hallmarked brooch features blue, orange and green enameled "stones". It has hallmarks for Chester, England 1946 and it was made by the Wayne Hart Co. (1945-) of Birmingham and Chester. It has a c-clasp and it weighs 11.2 grams. Circa 1920 to Art Deco era 36" long silver tone chain and black glass necklace lavalier sautoir with a 3" pendant or drop of a "Lalique" like finely etched and ground floral berry amber glass drop.
Floral berry etched glass drop is 1 3/8" X 7/8" X 6mm thick with nice heft.
There are a few books that describe this type of cut work as "Lalique" like. For more info please view images.

Signed by a listed yet still unidentified workshop, this set of vintage silver and gold cufflinks is a classic Mexican Deco design. Inspired by the massive Aztec carved stone "Sun Disk" discovered in 1790 during excavations in Mexico City's zocalo, the pair is generous in size and quite nicely made...

Composed of cast rectangular double links, this classy bracelet from the 1960s-1970s is sturdy and well made with completely soldered connecting bars. The bracelet has a good heft and a secure, clever clasp with a pressure spring closure. The bracelet is marked for sterling, with a partial mark of ITALY and a double-struck partial sterling mark. The bracelet measures 7 ¾ inches long and a little over ¼ inch wide. Weight: 29.6 grams

Rectangular, with one side decorated with elaborate raised flower and scrolled leaves. The anchor button shows lengthwise ridges. The marks look to be European, but are as yet unidentified. The cuff links look hardly worn, with secure bridge bars and connecting rings. The larger buttons measure ¾ inch by ½ inch. Weight: 11.2 grams total

This Georg Jensen circle pin features a deeply molded twisted rope design that continues all the way around. The design is enhanced with simple, scored rectangular elements at the halfway points. The secure rollover clasp is also sterling and original to the pin. The back is marked with the Jensen and sterling marks, the design number of 254, and Denmark. The pin measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Weight: 9.7 grams

This delicate sterling silver bracelet features lavender cloisonné enamel panels enhanced with rhinestones that alternate with square-mounted rhinestones. The edges of the panels are textured to give the feel of millegraining. The bracelet is well made, with scrolled details in the enamel work, and securely soldered connecting links. It has a good heft, despite its delicate appearance, and an original spring-ring clasp in good working order...

This bracelet was made by an unknown jeweler who produced a variety of pins and bracelets, often decorated with his signature applied calla lilies and gold-filled leaves. Each calla lily is hand-applied to a horizontal frame, alternating with vertical rectangular panels with a lightly hammered look. Beautifully aged sterling silver and warmly glowing copper combine effortlessly in this Los Castillo chevron brooch. I am very partial to the mixed metals jewelry that came out of Taxco and the renowned workshop excelled in their production. This specific piece with its arrow shape I find very interesting visually - just note the way the curves of the silver beads are juxtaposed to the intense forcefulness of the angular motifs. This handmade ring features a substantial domed top of cross-hatched openwork and an adjustable band. It dates around 1960-1970, and bears the marks of husband and wife designers Else Berntsen Hughes and Paul Hughes, including the H mark for their workshop, Studio Else and Paul. The ring is sized approximately 4 ½-5 and can be adjusted slightly larger by a competent jeweler. Weight: 10.5 grams

A mid century modern necklace with a large pendant in pewter by Eivind Hillestad, Norway. Marked EH, and 79. Pendant has long segmented leaves. This substantial sterling silver bangle bracelet features a classic mid-century modernist design of an oblong shape with two flattened sides. The sides, however, are thicker and a little more rounded than the more common interpretation. It is marked inside with the Mexico Eagle 1 and the maker’s initials of ESM. An attractive pair of gilt 800 silver double-faced cufflinks. The round faces are simply decorated with concentric rings bordering central gilt reserves. The faces are joined with the hinge bridge connectors more often seen in Scandinavian designs. The connectors are marked “800” and have an unidentified maker’s mark “EP” in a diamond-shaped punch.
